Pour is deep amber/copper with a big rocky off white head. Hints of burnt sugar, toffee, herbs and hops. Flavour is more malt notes, toffee, and a nice turn of moderate bitter hop in the finish. Smooth mouthfeel, very flavoursome and drinkable. Nice.

On tap in the Globe, HK. Amber brown in colour. This was a well balanced beer, starting with nice crisp toasty malt and then a strong but not overly aggressive bitter pine hop. Very enjoyable. Apart from being a little strong would be an excellent session beer.

Bottle. Dark amber color, some head. Had some balance but it was mostly to the hoppy side of the spectrum. Taste was also hoppy.

Wittales (436) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 23, 2012
Appearance was clear honey caramel amber with diminishing creamy off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet toffee, caramel, brown sugar, belgain candi, slight spicey herbal hops. Taste are sweet caramel amber,2-row malts, followed by soft grassy, piney, spicey bitter hops. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with light-meduim body, then an average length balanced sweet malts and bitter hop finish. Wonderful american amber...

From notes, balanced toasted malts and slight bitter. Some fruit sweetness, yeasty bread, and nice lingering aftertaste.

Scrapersnbeer (977) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 17, 2012
Toasty, meaty caramel malt flavor juxtaposed with some piney hops. Basic hazy orange, seems still. Chalky malt that’s rather blunt, hop balance at maybe 30 BUs. Dry, lingering finish. Otherwise soft palate feel with a medium body. Not really a session beer, good with lunch.

355ml bottle from Alko Arkadia. Poured copper color with a creamy dirty white head, Aroma has burnt sugar, bready malty, toasty aroma. Flavor similar, toasted, nutty, bready malty. Bitter quite dry, hoppy finish. High carbonation, tickles in the mouth. Medium body. Enjoyable.

Very smooth and drinkable beer. Slight roasted malt notes coupled with a light fruit hop profile and a biscuit sweetness. The most any drinking and balanced of the Rogue beers. Enjoyable although a little less memorable than some of there other beers. Left me with the feeling of a classy, grown up beer!
