Tawny amber in color with a coffee aroma and tight head. A delicate roasted malt accent, generous use of hops and a smooth finish.

Ingredients: water, barley malt (Great Western 2-Row Malt, C40, C150), Cascade hops, Pacman yeast.

Red/amber pour with a thick off white head. Malty, caramel aroma, not much else. Taste is pretty heavy on the caramel, sweet, malty, with a little floral taste and fairly low bitterness. It’s pleasant and very, very drinkable but not too complicated

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a hazy dark red with a rocky two finger off-white head. Very good head retention and lacing. The aroma is very malty right off the bat. Lots of spice and rye character with a touch of earthiness thrown in. Pretty good. The malt is very nice in the flavor but there is a noticeable lack of hops. More rye spiciness a earth dominates and there is a very light bitterness in the background but not what I was expecting. I think some of the earth in the flavor is from the hops possibly. Silky smooth mouthfeel but a bit chalky. Overall, a nice try from Rogue but it barely misses the mark. If this beer had some more buttering hops it would kick it up a notch and make for a very good brew. As-is it is just ok.

Great beer. You can smell the malt. You can taste the sweetness that gives place at the end to the bitter taste of the hops.

aroma is caramel and dust, taste is soft and balanced caramel malts and hoppy dustiness. A tad too much caramel for my taste.

355mL bottle (BB: 30th June 2014). Pours a clear toffee/amber colour with an off white head. Slightly spicy/creamy/toffee aroma with a caramel malt flavour and grapefruit dominating the flavour. Medium bitterness and body. I imagine this beer would be much better when fresh however it is still very nice considering it could be 9 months old.

Amber body, off white head. Aroma has caramel malt, some yeasty fruits and resiny hops. Flavour is quite the same. I enjoyed this quite a lot.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a amber colored body that leaves a half finger white head, lasts for about thirty seconds and then dies. The body is too dark for any carbonation to be seen rising. No lacing was seen at all. The smell has some roasty hops combined very nicely with some caramels and coffee. The taste has some bitter hops coming out a bit stronger and giving a quick bite and allows a slow flavor of the coffee and caramel coming out. On the palate, she sits about a medium with nothing obscure on the tongue, just an overall basic good feel. Overall, I like this and would have it again.

Cor cobre, brilhante, com espuma bem formada mas de média duração. Aroma predominante de tosta de malte, com frutas cítricas (maracujá) e diacetil bem de longe. Sabor acompanha o aroma. Corpo leve a médio, amargor baixo a moderado. Retrogosto de amargor suave e de pouca persistência. Cerveja equilibrada mas que não empolga, mesmo batendo perfeitamente o estilo de Amber Ale: menos aroma, mais equilíbrio, mais malte. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2014 Pours a clear deep amber with off-white head. Aroma is caramel, pine, floral and grass. The aroma is very balanced. Medium mouth feel with medium carbonation. Aftertaste is dry, floral, round and sweet caramel, citrus and lasting hop bitterness. Overall: excellent. Watery finish.
