A cloudy amber/copper color with some burnt orange highlights at the bottom. An off white, fluffy head with very nice size and more than adequate retention. Left a good amount of lacing also. A nice caramel malt with a well blended sweetness in the nose. A little bit of a grapefruit citrus tone also. It’s subtle, but nice. Seems to be balanced very well. A decent little hop bite in the taste. Some bitterness tickles the tongue. A small punch of grapefruit citrus gives way to a medium malty caramel as it warms. Again, blanced very nicely. Medium mouthfeel. Smooth, snappy and crisp. Dry. Leaves a nice flavor on the tongue and roof of the mouth that hangs around for quite some time. Nice carbonation. Another fine beer from Rogue. Solid, well balanced. Easily drinkable. Would go well druing any season. Not overly complex or robust. One that I would have no problem drinking a few of.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2015 Bottle @Briar Rose. Nice copper colour with decent foam. Aromas of caramel, hops and yeast. Taste is nicely malty, lots of caramel and hoppy bitterness. Well rounded and balanced. Medium carbonation. An enjoyable, quality brew.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours Amber-Orange in colour, single finger white head. Aroma of orange, lemon, biscuit....much the same on the taste with a bit of tea, grass, grain...not all that special though.

Bottle from Wspoons. This is nice. I can't pinpoint what it reminds me of. A confectionery of some kind. Candy-ish but very subtle. Good, ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bought a single of this to update, as I only sampled once before about 4 years ago......still prefer their Dry-hopped Red Ale. Has a slight red-copppery appearance, or I guess easier to just say amber. Ultra-Smooth and crisp mouthfeel and finish, like I find most of Rogues "lighter" beers to be. Sweet (caramel) and hoppy/bitter at the same time....a very good balance.

Draught at Mel’s Craft Beers, Vienna.
Dark amber to copper, bit brownish body, with a medium, creamy, light beige head.
Aroma of roast, toast, dark berries, dried fruits, bread.
Taste follows this, with additional nutty notes.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes bitter, quite roasty, toasted, a bit fruity.

Nice, but nothing outstanding. Solid amber ale, with the expected aromas. Nice toastiness. Not among my favourite amber ales though.

Aroma fruity malty American yeast and hop smell, taste apricots and caramel, medium body, medium to dry finish. Delicious and refreshing!
