3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not the usual high octane brew I’ve become used to from Rogue - malt but no hop profile - okay Amber, just not for me.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice colour. Enjoyable taste. Relatively refreshing with a tart after taste. I imagine this would go nicely with a steak or at a push a curry. Overall, not a bad try for the Americans.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Medium amber-brown pour with a medium tan head. Malty aroma, some faint coffee, bit of roast. Taste is basically the same. Nice, not radical but good drinking.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale brown colour. Very full flavoured, lots of malts. The hops are quite floral delivering a finishing bitterness not too far away from a classic ESB. Not particularly deep or complex but a worthy session beer.

US Pint Can from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£3.80):
I was quite disappointed with this one after expecting a lot more from it given the reviews it gets here & the fact that it is a Rogue beer but it failed to deliver for me with the taste being a particular let down. There was a decent enough malt taste to the beer but I had been expecting more hops to it as well & just more flavour really. At first I feared the can was past its best but when I checked the date it was a mere couple of months old so that doesn’t seem to be the problem, it just seems like this beer wasn’t for me and its not one I’ll go back to I’m afraid.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thick brew almost to the point of chunky. Loaded with sweet fruits but met with a high bitterness for the style about midway. Decidedly malty but well hopped to match.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Disappointing as most Rogue beer is these days, just a light dusting of citrusy hops over an inoffensive but not greatly enjoyable amber malt backbone. There are way tastier options for less money now.

355ml bottle at The Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. Golden amber with a billowing cream head; caramel aroma; creamy in the mouth with a soft caramel taste, and a touch of spice; then a dry satisfying finish with a lasting bitterness. Well balanced, and nicely rounded.
