A dark amber pour with a nice frothy tan head. Nutty roasted malt aroma. Fairly thin beer for something this dark. Flavor is a mix of toasty malt and light grapefruit pith bitterness and floweriness from the hops. A bit sour as well, but makes it that much smoother. Lingering bitter sting like that of a grapefruit. Almost like a darker English Bitter with American hops. Decent session.

A very light hopped and watery APA. Some burnt caramel in the palate, spicy hops...simple

Can from work. Pretty boring. Maybe mine was old. Thanks Rogue for not putting dates on anything. Toffee, caramel, empty nothingness. A little perfumery and grassy. Tastes like beer.

Garnet pour clear beautiful. Nice white head. Hoppy but malts come through more very refreshing Amber red ale. Nice.

12 fl. oz. bottle from Jumbo, courtesy of Daniel Sovino. Thank you man. Pours a hazy tawny color with a medium with a yellowish white head that diminishes slowly and leaves a fine lacing. Nice and well balanced aroma of caramel malts and spicy hops. Notes of caramel, toffee, bitter orange, lactose with hay, earthy touches and soft spices from the American hops. Taste is relatively bitter but coated with slight, moderate caramelly sweetness. Bittersweet fruity flavors, mostly orange, can be felt consistently complimented by a trace of peppery spiciness. Medium body and carbonation. Spicy finish. This is a good overall Amber Ale. Well-made and solid. It’s just that the style itself is not so exciting.

From a 473ml can on 13/9/2015 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a slightly opaque amber with a small head. Has a mild caramel and toffee malt aroma. Taste wise, there’s more caramel and toffee malt, some roasty notes, and a reasonably firm dash of hops. Medium bodies with average carbonation. A decent hoppy amber.

Motorboats your face with that toffee vibe, and that’s a good thing. Pretty lovely, some creamy texture there too. Good. 7.5/10.

A hazy Amber brown coloured beer with a frothy but weak creamy coloured head. A light malt aroma, caramel in particular, plus hints of spice and bread, and a background hoppiness. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is a mild bitterness, although the initial taste is of caramel malt, this is refreshed by a bitter hop flavour of citrus fruit and green hop. The finish is tart and hoppy. Bottle @ The Limes, Fakenham.
