3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A dark amber pour with a nice frothy tan head. Nutty roasted malt aroma. Fairly thin beer for something this dark. Flavor is a mix of toasty malt and light grapefruit pith bitterness and floweriness from the hops. A bit sour as well, but makes it that much smoother. Lingering bitter sting like that of a grapefruit. Almost like a darker English Bitter with American hops. Decent session.

4.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can to pint glass. This is an old favorite, just realized I’ve never formally rated it.
Appearence: Opaque toasty light Orange brown. Small but lasting lacey head.
Aroma is grass, light barley, lighter hops.
Taste is malty, touch of ash, touch of lemon, touch of hops. Very smooth and easy drinking.
Palate is Medium carbonation. Clean. Lasting head gives it a slight creamyness that fades quickly.
A great standby and go to beer for all seasons.

16oz can. Poura a dark amber in color with small beige head. Aroma is roasty caramel malt. Heavily coffee notes in the flavor with some sweetness. A bit of hoppiness which is mostly overwhelmed by the malt. Roasty finish. Medium bodied and quite tasty.

Ambra carico, schiuma beige evanescente. Aroma di malto, sentori tostati. Al palato ancora il malto è bilanciato dall’amaro del luppolo. Buona carbonazione, corpo medio.
