Starts off better than it finishes, but still a very high quality brew. Very dark red with a medium lasting head; aroma is of apricots and honey with a heady dose of hops; wonderful! Flavor also big with the apricots, along with plum and vanilla; soft and smooth, but at the end it really hits you with the hops and a dry finish that seemed a bit too much of a contrast to the soft fruitiness preceding. Not Rogue’s best, but well worth trying, patriot.

Out of the bottle at Harry’s in Bermuda. Rich malt aroma. Faint chocolate noted. Hazy (chilled glass issue?) orange-copper like a subdued warm glow. Light tan head remains around the side and dusts the tops. Taste is moderate malt with a thinnish mouthfeel. Perhaps a little metal or blood hiding in the corners. Finishes dry and moderately bittering.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the White Lady - only 99p. Pours a deep amber with a slight haze. I really like the balance of this beer. Not too much caramel malts, not too much hoppiness. Nice rounded flavours of each. Easy drinking and refreshing. Nothing that special but a very nice all the same.

Can from work. Pretty boring. Maybe mine was old. Thanks Rogue for not putting dates on anything. Toffee, caramel, empty nothingness. A little perfumery and grassy. Tastes like beer.
