Bottle @ home. Aroma is huge American hops, some caramel and spices. Flavour is medium hop bitterness, earthy and cheesy, hint of fruit and spices. Light but fitting malt backbone. Lingers on for quite a bit. Good stuff.

Beer poured a cloudy sweet-tea color. A weak thin head possessed very little retention. Aroma of tart cherries with semi-sweet cocoa. A very interesting flavor. Woody, peat, bitter dandelion mid-taste, nutty with a touch of charcoal. Mouthfeel revealed medium high carbonation. Light body. Somewhat astringent. Overall this was in interesting and unique brew.

Aroma predominantly of hay and molasses and a slight pleasant butterscotch. Coppery and clear with a tight, creamy, persistent head. Nice bitterness up front. Quickly releases into warm carmel and molasses flavors with very long finish. Hops lean toward citrus. Creamy mouthfeel. A beer to drink when you’ll be drinking more than one.

G: 16-ounce pint glass with Yuengling eagle insignia. A: Pours a thin, half-finger head that quickly recedes. Head is a medium cream color, while the body is a darkened amber that is quite opaque. S: Strong amber scent. Darker and less creamy than many ambers, with faint hints of wood. A bit of bread and malt in the background as well. T: Strong malt with some hop presence. Mildly sweet with a slightly bitter aftertaste. A much stronger taste than the typical amber. M: Moderate carbonation that sits well on the tongue. D: A good beer overall, and I could probably have two or three in a sitting, but probably not a session beer.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2011 Mostly clear, reddish tan pour, with a thin fluffy head that lingers. Bready aroma, but with a bitter bite to the taste. The bitter gives good structure, but there’s not enough other flavors to balance it for my taste.

Great beer. Orange / amber color, thick foamy head, clear, moderate carbonation. Very good balance of malt and hops. Very drinkable in many situations. All around solid choice.

22oz. Bottle: GUSHER! Aroma of malt, yeast, Earth, toasting, and light caramel. No coffee or hops in the aroma here. Poured orange in color with a large, creamy, dense, beige head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, slight caramel, light yeast, and Earth. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, slight caramel, and Earth finish. Pretty boring.
