COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beard beer is brewed with a yeast created from Brewmaster John Maier’s beard. No need to freak out, brewers have used wild yeasts in beer making for centuries. John has had the same old growth beard since 1978 and for over 15,000 brews, so it is no great surprise that a natural yeast ideal for brewing was discovered in his beard. What does beard beer taste like? try it, we think you’ll be surprised...

Love the idea this came from a beard! Pours a cloudy golden color with a nice white head that dissipates quickly. Nice fruity aroma with a very clean mouthfeel. Tastes has some fruit/yeasty undertones. Overall a good easy drinking beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bot led. A hazy yellow beer with a yelowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit, malt, and spices, leading to a dry finish.

Draft to taster at source so I didn’t have to buy a whole bottle. Pour avg gold with thin white head. Nose sweet fruit floral, Belgian ester, peach. Taste sweeter flavors throughout. Some berry, stone, and floral. Nothing off putting.

Bottle at Craft Islington, big thanks to Daniel. It pours clear amber with a thick white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, white bread, candy, soft sweetness, banana and stewed orange. The taste is crisp, bitter - sweet upfront, banana, candy, apple, barnyard, earth, straw, pear and melon with a sweet finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Fun to try, but overall its way too sweet for me.
