Draft pour at NHC pro brewers night. Pours a clean brown with khaki head. Nose of honey, brown sugar, caramel, light grain. Very sweet, slight burn.

Clear cola brown with a bit of a small fizzy head. Aroma also has a bit of a cola tone with some burnt toast and cherrywood. Earthy malty flavor with lots of earthy toffee syrup, cola, and brown malts with a kiss of oak. Kinda lame.

On tap at Rogue San Francisco, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is like a bee hive, bringing out waxy nectar and caramel. Flavour brings out honey, syrupy caramel notes, and some slight resinous hops. Well-balanced, but not the most refined or elegant mead. Solid - drinkable in smaller amounts.

On tap at the Issaquah Brewhouse. Pours a hazy brownish Amber color with a thin thin off white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of honey, caramel, and oak. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is thin and slick with good carbonation. I really liked this. Basically a mead with some beer qualities. Liked the way the barrel used added flavor. Thinking about getting a bottle for aging.

On tap at Rogue Ale House, San Francisco, pours an amber red orange color. Nose is sweet and fruity. Taste is fruity with a strong cherry predominance and tart and pungent as well. Finish is sweet and fruity and moderately long. Nice after dinner drink . Quaff Score 7 / 10

Tap at Rogue, Portland. Colour is clear reddish copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Sweetness, honey, caramel and hints of chocolate. Well, I am not a fan of this kind of beers.

Poured from tap to glass. Nice, clear brown color with full aroma of honey, blackberry, esters, malt. Mouthfeel is really nice for this big of a brew. Not chewy, but not watery either. Huge honey up front followed by nice blackberry essence. Finishes with ethanol, but not too overpowering. Pretty well rounded at this time, but will probably be really nice in a few years.

Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, honey, alcohol and floral. Taste is meidum to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long sweet, honey, floral and warm finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
