A really dark mead. Tastes terribly bitter, in a good way. Good, and recommended.

Hazy cloudy yellow brown. Aroma is light and sweet. Taste of fruit, berries and sugar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is kind of wack. Christmas meets tea meets candy. Not my jam but it Rogue so I still drank it. On tap at Newport Ale House

750ml bottle pours out a brown with some red highlights. Nose is lots of sweetness honey roast malt chocolate and some spice. Taste is more of the heavy sweetness honey chocolate. I love me some sweetness so this was ok by me.

Pours clear amberbrown . No head . Smell is honey , rather sharp , sweet. Taste is bit bitter, with a full mead taste towards the end and in the aftertaste . OK . Very boozy finish

Bottle. Very sweet, a lot of honey mead flavour with some chocolate and malty notes. A bit overly sweet for my tastes, and perhaps a little light bodied. But a very tasty pint nonetheless.

Clear cola brown with a bit of a small fizzy head. Aroma also has a bit of a cola tone with some burnt toast and cherrywood. Earthy malty flavor with lots of earthy toffee syrup, cola, and brown malts with a kiss of oak. Kinda lame.

On tap at Rogue San Francisco, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is like a bee hive, bringing out waxy nectar and caramel. Flavour brings out honey, syrupy caramel notes, and some slight resinous hops. Well-balanced, but not the most refined or elegant mead. Solid - drinkable in smaller amounts.

On tap at the Issaquah Brewhouse. Pours a hazy brownish Amber color with a thin thin off white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of honey, caramel, and oak. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is thin and slick with good carbonation. I really liked this. Basically a mead with some beer qualities. Liked the way the barrel used added flavor. Thinking about getting a bottle for aging.
