4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Bockyhorsey (2590) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - OCT 25, 2006
Draught @ Papago. Floral and citrus hops on the nose get you in gear for a good refresment here. Dark body with good head and slight lacing. Flavor was full of citrus hop and this one for some reason I drank fast due to the citrus refreshment factor.

Draught @ Grey Lodge. Dark brown/red with no head. Roasty, citrus-hop aroma. Taste is dark-roast malt with plenty of piney-citrus-woody hops. Heavy sweet-malt flavor. Flavor almost paralyzes the pallet. Nice!
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 IndianaRed (1727) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 22, 2006
On Tap at Bitter Creek in Boise
Deep brown witha light tan head. Nice hoppy aroma that suggests of plenty if IBUs to follow. The suggestion was well founded. Quite strong bitter hoppy flavor as well with sufficient malt back bone. A bit dark and slightly roasted ina burnt wood sort of way. Gotta love a berr named after a guys dog!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 BeerBelcher (972) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 20, 2006
On tap at Roman’s Pub in Milwaukee, served in a pint glass. The room wasn’t all that well lit, and the beer seemed black with an abundance of white head. The beer’s appearance led me to expect something significantly more malty (what I describe as that pleasing "burned pizza crust" flavor) than I got, but this beer’s opening flavors are definitely hops, which was unexpected. So, I was pleasantly surprised. As the beer warmed, the hop up front seemed to better balance with a nice back-of-the-mouth maltiness. Quite pleasant.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Walt (2448) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2006
Pour is dark brownish black with a dense sticky brown head...smell was a little toasty, but predominately hoppy with tons of resin, grapefruit, and pine just barreling out of the glass...full bodied and chewy mouthfeel will probably be the last good things that I say about this...no real malt sweetness or flavors at all in the flavor....just a trainwreck of clashing hop flavors and bitterness...off the top of my head, I have no idea how to describe it other than "hoppy trainwreck"...I can’t even think of another beer name off the top of my head that was similiar in regards to the wreck itself...
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sliffy (2035) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 18, 2006
On tap at Brewkettle: Dark brown with a dark tan head, and some nice lacing. Aroma of chocolate and spicy hops. Some yeasty notes to it. Flavor, lots of malt up front, with some heavy roasty notes, and a sharp bitterness on the finish. Pretty good stuff.

From growler @ KSBF06: Thanks whaleman!! Medium sized tan head with good retention and lace. Lightly hazy amber color. Masive hop nose, grassy, spicey, citrusy and pleasently fruity. Body is med/full, lightly oily, resiny. Just lots of hops, grapefruit, hint piney, light roast with a solid caramel backing. Finish is long and hoppy. Nice one! Thanks Dave!
