2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 sonoma27 (2) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 25, 2011 does not count
Another well made beer from Rogue. Not extremely hoppy for an IPA. A strong citrus flavor, a little cloudy in complexion.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jesperhammer (1294) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2011
17-DEC-2011, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer".
Orange, almost clear with beige head.
Fruity hoppy nose. Grape fruit mostly.
Taste is maltiier with caramel and fruit along with of course a lot of hops.
Grape fruit again and long bitter ending with some sweetness.
Fine balanced IPA.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 AWISLguy (270) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2011
Bomber from Woodmans in the Falls. Pours an unclear yellow orange - grapefruit colored, without a hint of pink. Nice lacing. Aroma has very faint citrus plus some pine. Taste brings bitterness without a defined source, and some faint pine hoppiness. Somewhat sweet back. Finishes bitter. Rogue is so hit or miss - some of their stuff is really good, but other stuff - meh. I would call this a bitter, not a bitter ipa.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BeerCast_Rich (1056) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 16, 2011
[650ml bottle, Cornelius Beer&Wine, Edinburgh] Pours amber with decent white head. Tangerine citrus nose, plenty of pithy fruit on the nose. Slightly resinous flavour, but mostly orange and tangerine on the palate. Some slightly spicy edges. Decent malt component. Nice strong IPA [16122011]

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Plovmand (4693) - Helsinge, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2011
Bottle. Pours hazy deep golden with a medium off white head. The aroma is citrus, grape fruit, light peach and some sweet malt. The flavour is citrussy bitter with notes of pine, malt, orange peel and grapefruit. Quite bitter finish.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ccex (122) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 14, 2011
22 oz bottle pours a hazy orange/amber color with a big frothy white head that hangs around a while (even after the rest of the glass is emptied).. My first whiff reminded me of both grapefruit and wildflowers. Aroma is as I expected: citrus and floral but not overloaded with hops. Taste is on the bitter side, but with a pleasant finish of pine. Body is medium without too much carbonation. I’m glad I gave this well crafted, easily drinkable American IPA a try. My only negative comment is that the label and name hype it as something outrageous instead of what I call merely excellent for its style.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AshtonMcCobb (779) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 12, 2011
650ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden-amber with a nice layer of lace. The nose has oranges, then going into an earthy, peppery note, say parsnip. The taste has more the same - perhaps going into apricots and beetroot as well as the aformentioned notes on the nose. The palate is at least medium bodied with a nice creamy middle section texture and a lovely sharp finish. Overall, a great example of a well made American IPA - enough tastey malt to balance the hop bitterness and aroma.
