3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JamesChamp (118) - Canada, Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2013
Much like the Rogue Yellow Snow IPA i just did not get the strong taste i was expecting. Its a decent beer, but compared to some other IPA’s I like this beer was not as good.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 omega (500) - NEW ZEALAND - APR 5, 2013
Pours a lovely liquid gold. Quite soft and not overly aggressive on the hop front but nicely balanced and dry.

Clear golden colour, firm fluffy white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, tropical fruits, malts and honey. Bitter hoppy flavour, malts and fruity hops. Bitter fruity finish, passion fruit and hops.

Draft @ Bishop Arms HBG. Fin fruktig, humlig och karismatisk aroma. Smaken lika så, aningen söt. Bra beska på eftersmaken.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kevinsenn (583) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2013
Bottle from LCBO. Pours foggy amber. Aroma of apricot and peach. Taste is very nice - starts sweet and malty, moves into a peach and other fruits, getting bitter at the same time. Nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied with nice carbonation.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 DocJitsu (334) - California, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Pours a moderately hazy orange copper with an off white head. Head retention is average with inticing lacing around the glass. Guiness-like rings, in fact. Grapefruit, lemon, and biscuit malt bouquet. The mouthfeel is perfect for this style: smooth and wet with just the right amount of bite on the back of the tongue and throat. Nice mixture of pine and citrus that has been perfectly and unobtrusively balanced with grain. I really like this one. Very good example of this style. Nice beer. Rogue redeems itself after my disappointing encounter with their Chipotle last night.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 OKplus (560) - Oklahoma, USA - MAR 29, 2013
A - Pours a cloudy copper with an off-white head with average retention.
S - Toasted caramel malt, orange and grapefruit citrus.
T - Muted orange, apricots, and melon on top of a semi sweet buttery malt. Earthy yeast resides in the background. Slight bitterness starts in the middle and floral hops come through towards the finish.
M - Full bodied and slightly chewy. Good carbonation.
Not as bitter as I expected. Nice aromas but the flavors seem to be a little too buttery. It lacked crispness that I look for in an IPA. There’s not date on the bottle so I hope it’s not out of date.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 shaynsawchuk (180) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 28, 2013
650 mL bottle. Pours golden amber with a thick white head and splotchy lacing. Aroma is light honey, a touch of pine, citrus and honeydew melon. Fairly dry and medium body with medium carbonation, a nice malt profile with a clean hop tinged finish, hay and cereal. Tasty, but would like a little more backbone from a product with Brutal in the name.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 adamhorror (56) - USA - MAR 28, 2013
I love IPAs but not this one. Not very brutal. I was expecting huge and in your face flavors but there was not any. Reading the other reviews I am wondering if I got a bad bottle. Tastes more like an amber ale than an IPA. Cloudy amber body with a white head. Aroma is grass, mild citrus. Tastes are sweet lemon, melon (grapefruit-ish). Palate is dry, grassy, bitter (mild). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Benfi (307) - DENMARK - MAR 28, 2013
Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and honey. Taste is much the same with a malt finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink but it’s definitely not brutal in any sense.
