3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap at the Dutch with a Brutal IPA handle, pours a burnt orange/amber into the cheater pint capped by an impressive foam white head with fair retention. Head reduces to a lacing cap, and rings the glass. Scent is a blast of floral hop. Taste with well balanced pale malt with enough floral hop presence to make it interesting. Mouth is light and almost a bit watery.
I wish Rogue would not market this as an IPA becaue an IPA it surely is not. Just tell me the truth.... its an ESB.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Taco Mac. Bright hoppy aroma - tons of citrus, grapefruit, juicy. Light malt - biscuit. Taste is bitter, but not "brutal" - itís a nice dose of grapefruit with a touch of sweetness from the malt. Body is moderate to light. Active carbonation. Hops fade as the beer warms. Smooth beer - I could drink several of these.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle date: unk
Pours a diaphanous golden ale with a finger of light yellow foam. this sticks around a time before falling. Some grapefruit, onion, resin and bicuity malts in the nose. Nothing spectacular. Taste is actually sweet up front with a fairly specfically grapefruit character and some hints of bitterness, but nothing brutal about it. Mouth is medium with moderate carb. A decent enough IPA, average on scale Iíd say. Although the flavor is more Pale Ale than IPA for me, I would still drink this in a pinch.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Buonissima.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy orange tint with a decent one and a half finger of head. Aroma is of orange, citrus, caramel, and a decent hop profile. Tastes of citrusy hops, light malts, and is a very well balanced beer. I'm not sure if there is anything "brutal" about this IPA, it seems kind of ordinary to me. But not in a bad way. It's a perfect well done IPA! Update: as the beer warms up, more malts show through, and the hops fade.

Botella de 65 cl. en el Lķpulo. Septiembre 2013.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, grass, light pine, light honey, bread, herbal, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes with moderate malt presence; and good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, grass, light pine, herbal, light honey, bread, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, grass, light pine, bread, herbal, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus/floral hop flavors and moderate malt presence; with a crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good balance and complexity of crisp hop flavors with a fair amount of malt presence; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap: cloudy, light head and amber. Huge lift. Lantana, citrus and pine. Malty background. Dry. Almost sour. Very bitter. Not a monster. Unbalanced. Lacks malt to balance hops. Simple hard drink. West coast IPA without style.
Made by people how love beer and have no idea about balance and texture.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate orange/citrus, light caramel, and some spicy hops. It pours a transparent amber with a one finger orange-tinged off-white head that has pretty good retention. A pretty thick sheet of lacing is left on the sides of the glass. Itís a pretty impressive looking beer and one of the few fives Iíll give for appearance. The flavor starts with moderate orange/citrus. There is just a hint of caramel in the background. The finish has moderate grapefruit. lighter floral notes, and some spicy hops. Overall, Iíve assumed Iíve had this beer for so long that Iíve passed over it countless times. The new label grabbed my attention and Iím glad it did as this is a pretty tasty IPA.
