3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Idiosynkrasie (1980) - Bielefeld, - JUN 14, 2012650ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with average firm frothy lacing white head. Wonderful hoppy aroma, resinous, piney, slightly bitter hoppy. Fresh hoppy taste, relatively mild, decent fruit touch, orange, citrus; very drinkable.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dashimus (182) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 16, 2013
Bottle from Rogue marketstall at the Portland Saturday market. Pours hazy orange with a thick, large bubble head. Aroma is passionfruit, grapefruit and lots of citrus. Also pine and a good chunk of hops and a bready maltiness. Taste is not as bitter as you think and its moderately sweet. Moderate carbonation and medium bodied with short dry finish and a slightly astringent aftertaste.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 15/20 EvanFriend (164) - New York, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Graperuit aroma, tastes mainly like pine resin hops, with a bready malt background. Watery mouthfeel is my only problem with this, otherwise it’s a good beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DylansDad (204) - NEW ZEALAND - JUN 12, 2013
A very welcoming brew. Nothing brutal about it. The citrus, passionfruit and pine(?) aroma is enticing, but not in your face. Beautiful colour, nice lasting head. Taste is very smooth, hops and malt are present but not fighting for dominance.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jehoesefat (106) - Kapolei, Hawaii, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Smells less hoppy than most IPAs, a little bit of grapefruit and toasty malts. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a two finger white head. Taste is bitter and refreshing, goes down smooth and leaves me craving another sip!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 elbernays (39) - IRELAND - JUN 8, 2013
Pours cloudy golden with listing head. Bittersweet taste with sharp aftertaste. Nice ipa.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 574deadzone (570) - North Central, Indiana, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Pours a hazy golden amber with a fairly thick eggshell cap that hangs around for quite a while and leaves some splotches of lace. Nose of caramel honey iced tea. It’s making me think "barleywine light." Not pungent hoppy, but definitely some stone fruit notes with bigger maltiness. Plenty of sweetness, edging toward a bit much, with a fair yet subdued bitterness. Medium toward fuller bodied, softer carb, with a juicy fruit lightly tangy bitter finish. Very drinkable, yet not especially remarkable. No idea on freshness, though thankfully it was purchased in New Mexico and not around me where I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be in its prime. I like it yet I find it lacking in its current condition.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 bigguns22 (425) - Maryland, USA - JUN 5, 2013
Very cool beer super complex. Not as hoppy as the name Leeds you to think but very well rounded. Aroma is sweet and hoppy with great citrus notes. Color is golden to amber with a nice large with head that sticks to your glass. Hoppy but not to hoppy very easy to drink and smooth with a finsh that grows and lingers on your palate but not to long. At 6 % abv I could drink this one all night long.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 oops (36) - - JUN 4, 2013
Bottle from Alehouse Riga. Best beer I’ve had this year. Pine and citrus in aroma. The taste - ouch - spicey and hoppy. Just right amount of bitterness for me. Really good beer and luckily I have one more ;)
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 RumRunner101 (412) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 3, 2013
Great IPA that’s not too heavy. The body and finish has a good bitterness that’s not puckering or overwhelming.
3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 smboselli (80) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Huge nose, well balanced IPA that is easy to drink, but still complex flavors. I'll have this again for sure
