Draft at the brewery. Pours black with a whisper-slight disc of burnt tan foam across the top. Nice lactically tartened coffee nose--lactic like a milk stout, not like lactobacillus. Pleasant, roasty caffe con leche effect. Rich, creamy, medium body. Light carb...probably too light. Roasty coffee mid-palate with light lactic tang and a longish dark coffee bean oil (slick and nuttily acrid) finish. Pleasant and drinkable. With some carb on this to body it up and a little bit more stout complexity in the flavor profile, this could be something seriously good for winter sessioning--great potential as a tailgate minikeg.

The glass becomes filled with Stygian darkness with a silken chocolate top Cold-brewed coffee nose. Flavor is a step better than the bouquet intimates. The mouth is awash in chocolate covered espresso beam flavors. Medium-bodied, but on the lighter side. Very wet. A tasty, sessionable coffee stout.
