Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Oct 28, 2009 Hazy deep copper body with a light colored khaki head. The nose has lots of oranges with some notes of light bread crust. There is also a little bit of fresh floral goodness. The taste has some bitter grapefruit up front that is tempered with some notes of burnt up bread crust. There is also an earthy, nearly coffee finish. It could be pleasing to those that want a real west coast hop bomb. I would like a little more sweet to balance the package. Leighton (234), New York, New York, USA Oct 26, 2009 Really great and special. Had a glass at Rattle n Hum in NYC. Pours a rich amber brown with a medium head. Nose of sweet malts and mild hops. Flavor is a nice balance of heavy bitterness from the hops and slight sweet maltiness. Finish has mild bite and aftertaste is nice. Would have again.
