Kinda disappointed in this one. Aroma is malt with a hint of hops. However, I didn’t get any malt on the taste. Very one dimensional on the hops. So so beer.

I felt that this was a bit unbalanced and overly and unnecessarily bitter, without a promised hit of malt warmth. It pours a great colour, has a fantastic head, but I’m left a bit soft on taste and palate. It isn’t bad, it’s just not great.

On tap at Craft Cafe Imazato. Cap’t Sigs Deadliest Ale - a deep mahagoney brown. Soft cocoa & floral hops with some maltiness. The taste is sweetly malty with a fruity citrus. A clean finish. Not really complicated, a simple but enjoyable beer.

Esta cerveza tiene un color rojo intenso con una cabeza de color blanquecino. El olor es a malta, lúpulo, cítricos, pomelos y a hierbas.
Sabor suave, amargor y fácil de beber.

"Nice aroma on this fresh. The flavor is not quite up to par but is still pretty decent. Decent amounts caramel and sweetish malt to back up ample hops......found myself wishing for more aromatics and classic IPA hopiness. A touch too much yeast and malt for my taste."

Not usually a Rogue fan, but love this show so had to try the beer. Pours a red/brown and pretty clear. Small white fizzy head. Aroma of brown sugar, caramel, chocolate, and molasses. Taste was the same and pretty sweet. I would call this a red or amber ale, over an IPA.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance- Served an orange amber colored brew with a one finger tan head. The head faded rather fast to leave a decent level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell –The nose was light overall. There were notes of a piney and grapefruit nature as well as some sweeter aromas of caramel. Mixed with these was an even lighter roast and bread smell.
Taste – The taste starts out more on the malty side. It is quickly joined by a sweet caramel flavor. Hops then start entering the taste profile. It starts with a more piney hop flavor after which a grapefruit citrus flavor comes to the tongue. By the end the hops have picked up quite a bit in intensity and end up leaving a rather satisfying pine, grapefruit and sweet but malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was on the medium side in terms of its creaminess with a carbonation level that was moderate as well. The medium body and carbonation suited both the lightly sweet caramel and hoppier flavors of the brew quite well and gave a good easy drinking feel.
Overall- A rather refreshing and tasty red with a good decent hop profile. It drinks quite easy and is one I could see myself going back to on more occasions. Give it a go if you get the chance.

On tap at the downtown brewpub. Pretty darn awesome...dark copper, translucent, with great lacing. There’s a good strong aroma, greapefruit-y hops forward but strong malt character that’s unexpected, especially the caramelized notes. I’ve never had this style before--I’m a fan!

Bomber. Rich aroma full of sugar, and molasses, like an American Strong. Completely muddy reddish brown, opaque. Thin off white head. Hoppy, rich, burnt sugar flavor. Quite tasty. One of the better brews I’ve had from Rogue of late.

On top of a dark and very hazy burgundy body sits a big rocky or frothy head. It is light tan in color and very clingy. Thick lacey patterns stick everywhere on the glass. The aroma has a heavy pine like hop presence right as I open the bottle. Underneath the bold hops are solid rich malty sweet notes. Up first on the tongue are nice piney hop flavor notes with some hints of herbal, almost tea like, hops. The rich sweet maltiness backs this hop bitterness up and offers a good solid bass of bready flavor and sweetness. The finish has a very slow herbal and citrus hops fade that lingers on the tongue. Its palate has a smooth yet lively texture.
