From bottle at Pints for Pets. Mildly sweet, some licorice and caramel, grainy aroma with mild hops. Medium amber-tan, clear, with thick foamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts medium sweet with roasted grain and caramel, good bitterness. Finishes with medium hop bitterness and some floral character. Dry chalky, almost tannic after.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Rogue Bar SF. Pours a deep amber with a thick off white head that fades slowly. Nose is mainly citrus and thick toffee malts. Floral hops also can be found. Taste has a nice juicy citrus hop bitterness upfront with grassy tones and toffee sweetness adding at the backend. Pretty solid stuff from these guys

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours moderately hazy ruby copper color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, caramel, toast, floral, grass, light pine, biscuit, nuttiness, light chocolate, and floral/toasted earthiness. Pretty nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, caramel, toast, biscuit, floral, grass, nuttiness, light chocolate, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Moderate amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, floral, grass, pine, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and complexity of malt and hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a moderately creamy, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice amber ale. Good balance and complexity of malt and hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. This seemed to be a pretty old bottle, but still turned out to be nicely enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours clear red, off-white head. Smells like malty- bready. Tastes really chocolatey, nutty finish, citrus hops in the middle. Not a very heavy hop flavor but definitely there, just a nice medium-bodied flavorful beer. Great beer.
