COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chamomellow is an herbal golden ale infused with chamomile, which provides an enticing floral aroma. Chamomile is one of the oldest garden herbs used by ancient Egyptians and other cultures to battle illness, promote calm and relieve anxiety, hence the name Chamomellow. Dedicated to Caleb McLoughlin, a revolutionary brewer who created this elixir at Rogue’s Issaquah Brewhouse and won a Gold medal in the Herbs & Spice category at the 2003 Great American Beer Festival.

Chamemollow is created from Northwest Harrington and Klages, and Maier Munich Malts (18% speciality grains, .19 lbs grain per bottle). Kent Golding and Cascade hops, and infused with Chamomile. Available in a limited edition 22-ounce bottles (originally as Test Batch 1 - Gold Medal Series), and on draft at Rogue’s six Public Houses.

Rogue Chamomellow Ale, part of the "Gold Series," whatever the hell that is. Hazy orange body, medium off-white head. Chamomile aroma, flowery, with a strange but nice apple crisp/apple pie aspect. Subdued chamomile flavor with apple, biscuity malts, and musty yeast. Fairly tart. Spritzy and clean. Much better than the Founders Chamomile Ale I had earlier this year.

Tastes overwhelmingly like Celestial Seasonings’ "Sleepytime Tea," which is surprisingly light and delicious.

(RBSG04) Sparkling golden body. Aroma is fairly sweet, chamomile, cranberry, apple, honey -- evoking tea big time! Taste is medium sweet, cranberry, apple, chamomile. Light body.

Light gold with a creamy head with no lacing. Spicy, like squash almost.. Or pepper.. Or tea. Flavor reminds me mostly of chamomile tea with honey. Soothing palate. I likey.

Golden color, clean with a light head, slight lacing around the top. Aroma is incredibly flowery, sweet, perfume. Taste is a little bland, a little like drinking herbal sweet perfumed water. The undertaste is nice, light and floral. Sort of like drinking a crushed flower petal and sugar water. I make it sound slightly negative, but it was really drinkable. Not bad.

Bottled, courtesy of eyedrinkale, thanks for the sharing and caring! Light golden, massive head, very hazy-looking. Gigantic herbal-honey aroma, sweet, sticky and intoxicating....big sweet tea and honey flavors, some hints of cinnamon, late dryness and aromatic hops to create a distinctive finish to a very distinctive beer, though the body could be fuller. Very nice overall though.

Gotta hand it to the experimental brewery of the West Coast to come up with something like this. This stuff tastes like beer tea. Totally smooth but not too refreshing. A good late night beer.

Hazy pinkish orange color with a small off white bubbly head that quickly diminished and left very little lacing. Very fruity, bubblegum, apple juice, mint, passion and tropical fruit aroma. Honey and chamomile, spicy and herbal taste.

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of mostly diminishing fine to medium sized bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body was carbonated hazy and dark orange colored. The aroma was mild with musty and spicy notes. The aroma could be smelled from a distance as soon as the cap was popped. The mouth feel was initially mellow then the spices kicked in in the finish.. The flavor contained notes of soft caramel nutmeg pumpkin and herbs. It was actually an OK beer just different and hard to get a handle on.
