Trev (493), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Apr 6, 2008 Bomber from Brewery Creek:
Pours a nice, slightly hazy amber with a thick foamy off white head.
Aroma was hoppy with a tinge of pepper As much cayenne smelling as chipotle at first then some smokiness coming through as well.
Flavour starts malty, slightly sweet smokey finish overtakes what hop there is.
Flavours in the finish don’t completely mesh for me.
thebeertourist (1796), Oslo, Norway Sep 3, 2008 Bottle at Beer Palace, Oslo. Hazy amber with a good offwhite head. Citrus hop aroma, hints of spices. Good citrus flavours, well-balanced maltiness. Some spiciness, but nothing to write home about. Relatively light body. Good - the bottle may not have been completely fresh. ajm (329), USA Aug 30, 2008 This beer is an abomination. I wish I had tasted Ralph Wiggum’s Revenge at NOTB 08 just so I could have a range of pepper beers to compare to. A completely average American Ale peppered lightly with jalapen~os on the finish. I see no purpose for it except cooking, because I was far from refreshed after sipping. ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2008 Dark amber pour with a spicy nose. Spicy flavor with hints of malts, pepper, and roast (almost smokey) nqualls (201), Tennessee, USA Aug 26, 2008 I was rather disappointed in this beer. Way too spicy for my taste. Aroma was awesome with malts and pepper. Flavor was smokey and peppery. My beer tasted almost exactly like liquid smoke. Not good. IPAaLLtHEwAY (106), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Aug 22, 2008 I had’nt before now ever had a beer that had peppers in it. I very much enjoy it. It pours a golden shade of amber with a retreating tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts and subtle chilis. Flavor is very smooth initialy, then the chipotle sorta jumps out atcha in the finish. I really enjoy it.
