COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ebony in color with a rich creamy head. The mellow flavor of oats, chocolate malts, and real chocolate are balanced perfectly with the right amount of hops for a bittersweet finish. Chocolate Stout is brewed with 10 ingredients: Northwest Harrington and Klages, Crystal 135-165 and Beeston Chocolate Malts, Cascade Hops, Rolled Oats and Roasted Barley, Natural Chocolate Flavor, Free Range Coastal Waters and PacMan Yeast.

Bottle pour. Ebony color. Tan head. Subtle chocolate aroma. Slight bitter finish. This beer is more stout than chocolate. If you are looking for a sweeter chocolate stout, this is not your beer. But, very good nontheless.

Solid stout but I wrecked my palate so my taste was off. Notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and soft vanilla. Flavors of semi-bitter chocolate, roasted malts, and lactose sugar. Low carbonation, semi-dry, with a very slight bitter finish.

Well there you go, dammit! Pure chocolate scrumptiousness! Perhaps the best Sweet Stout I have ever had, maybe even the best Stout. It’s spot on beauty kicks things off, opaque as is possible and with a generous, lasting medium-dark tan head. The smell is fiendishly wondrous; rich, dark smooth chocolate, roast malts, dark cherries, vanilla and leather speak this beer’s scent. The taste matches magnificently, the taste of all things lingers, leaving you longing for more. The texture is amazing, smooth, full bodied, lightly oily. A perfectly bittersweet taste is left behind, as well as the best tan lacing I have ever seen. A glorious gulp, wish I had more of these.

"great interplay with the bitterness of the hops and the sweetness of the chocolate. a little high and tight on the carbonation, but a great, super choclatey bitter beer...great for floats :) a little thin on tap as well, but still very good. the aroma is amazing."

Fin og rund kaffe og sjokolade. Litt tørrende sot. God svak aroma av rosinish i tillegg til kaffen. Rund finish, over 40

Svart farve med beige skum. Lukt av god sjokolade. Smak av sjokolade og kakao. Moderat karbonering og bitterhet. Tap @ Melkebaren.

650mL bottle BB 01/08/14 Looks good; jet black body small tan head. Nice aroma; milk coffee, dark chocolate - in a good way, not artificial - toasted nuts & cereals, caramel, with a generous helping of citrusy hop. Full body, smooth texture bit oily, moderately low carbonation. Palate starts with some sweet chocolate (70% cocoa-like), touch of caramel & nuttiness, then dries out with leafy, resiny hop, citrus rind and a bold lingering bitterness. Tasty stuff, additional chocolate flavour noticable, but not overdone.

Pours a deep, dark brown with a large creamy tan head which lingers a bit.........aroma is chocolate, raisins (Chunky bar?) ........taste is rich chocolate, coffee aftertaste, dates but far too thin for the amount of flavor. Needs mouthfeel, body, chewiness whatever you want to call it....far too much flavor to be so thin.
