3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer had a number of complex and unique flavors. A sweet chocolatey start with a slightly unpleasant hoppy finish. As a side note, a strange picture to use for the label.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Solid stout appearance.. just a bit below the gold standard. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, lactose.. maybe a hint of licorice. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, with a touch of bitterness... Palate is a 4.5, but I’ll round up to 5... close enough. Taste is good.. somewhat bland.. I get the oats, chocolate.... respectable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice stout, odd chocolate malt notes, mild to medium carbonation. Didn’t seem interesting enough to surprise me - just a nice tasting beer. Nothing special

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours totally black with short lasting dark tan head. Creamy mouthfeel but chocolate dominates. Maybe a bit forced at the end of the day. Still coffee and roasted flavours and enough bitterness to make it still pleasant to drink. Way too expensive at $14 for a longneck

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Mitsuya’s labeled ’Chocolate Bear Beer Bitter’. Poured into an English tulip pint. Deep brown with some slight ruby highlights with a tan head that leaves a nice ring throughout. Big bakers chocolate nose with some earthy hops, burnt espresso, cacao nibs and cocoa powder all present. Average carbonation with a cola-like mouthfeel. Taste is bittersweet with a great lasting biter finish that lingers like pure baking cocoa on the tongue. There’s a really nice acidity balance present as well. Really nice stout.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from swanbourne. Deep brown pour with beige head. Lots of vanilla and milk choc on the nose. Flavour is choc as expected but quite a firm bitterness and boozy finish. Seemed a bit out of whack. Still ok

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a jet black color with a foamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roast. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate. Overall pretty good, though the bitterness is a bit harsh.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pitch black beer with a big foamy brownish head.
Smell is sour fruitiness and milk chocolate. Leather, maybe some nuts, but mainly lots of chocolate.
Taste is watery first but then gets overwhelmed by milk chocolate. Not sweet, just very creamy oily and smooth chocolate taste. With a touch of mineral. Quite smart.
