Pours a deep mahogany. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, piney hops. Medium bodied, slick mouth feel. Roasty malt flavours turn into a long bitterness. Not bad.

On tap at the Euston tap (Mar í12) and served into a UK half pint glass.
Mid black akin to ícolaí in colouration with a thin off-white head that soon thinned to a small puddle in the middle of the glass.
Not a big nose to this beer, faint hop smells and a little roasted malt and caramel, a little underwhelming in this aspect!
Flavours outweighed the smell and I got pine, more hop than on the nose, roasted malt, a little sugar, raisen and a touch of cocoa.
Medium in body with a little soft carbonation about right for the style.
Overall an OK beer, entirely drinkable, but not setting ímyí beer world alight!!!

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is burnt caramel, breast, some hints of roast and coffee. The taste is coffee, roast, and some bitter hops. Not really hoppy enough for a black IPA. This one plays more like an American stout. Itís not bad.

Pint @ Pub at Piperís Creek, $5.00. When I order a beer at bar, no matter how divey, I never expect it to look like muddy pond water. Imagine my surprise when thatís exactly what this brew looked like. Smelled hoppy enough but the body was thin and unsatisfying (something I find often with Rogueís new Risk Malt). Iím not angry, just unimpressed.
