TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 24, 2007 Pours a mostly translucent golden with amber note and a smaller creamy white head that left some lacing. Aroma was sweet and malty. Some corn, grains, caramel and some honey/floral notes. Flavor is also very malty and sweet. Picking up the grains, corn and a touch of honey/caramel. Decent for the style I suppose, still just too sweet and in a cloying type of way. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Sep 24, 2007 22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours a light golden color with a one finger thick white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is herbal/grassy hops and light grain. Flavor is lightly sweetened grain balanced nicely with a small hop presence. Not too bitter. Medium body. I was expecting something nasty like Schlitz Malt liquor. It’s not that bad. Worth a try. BudWeiser (10), West Linn, Oregon, USA Sep 19, 2007 22oz’er. Yep it’s a malt liquor...just like the bottle says. However when forced to drink something like this....I would pcik this beer over a Mickey’s or King Corbra or an Old E. Goes down easy and smooth. No hot flavors or anything like that. Nice carb and very clear golden in color. For it’s style I would say it’s good. Bradrcr (778), Renton, Washington, USA Sep 16, 2007 On Draught at the Issaquah Brewhouse. Aroma is faint sweet malt with a slight sour carbonic note. Appearance is light straw, clear, with a low white head. Flavor is sweet malt forward with some sourness and carbonic flavors. Beer has medium/high bittering with some actual hop complexity, but flavors are just too low overall. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a medium/high carb feel. Overall, better than expected. brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA Sep 15, 2007 22oz bottle. Wow this is probably one of the worst Rogue Ale’s I have had. I should have known after reading the "malt liquor" label on the bottle. In Rogues defense, I know that they were trying to make this type of beer and get this type of flavor and still its 100 times better than any malt liquor out there. Pours a light yellow, pretty much no aroma, and the taste is very malty. I would still take this over any macro brew like bud or miller. andyhite (290), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Sep 10, 2007 bomber; pours a dirty pumpkin hue with a big foamy head. thick lacing around the rim of my stein. smells mildly lively with faint light hops and a big hello from the yeast goblin. aromas of light honey and a tight floral bouquet are noticed here as well. first taste reveals the honey characteristic a bit more, as well as a very flat hefe feel to it. i never thought that rogue would pull out their brotha card here. the yeasts are prominent as well as faint citrus bringing up the rear. it’s a really light beer with Rogue Ale tendencies. definitely compatible with fried chicken or pizza. i may revisit this one again. henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA Sep 6, 2007 The 22 ounce bottle poured a clear golden copper colored beverage with a small fizzy white head that was completely diminishing and left no lacing on the glass. The aromas that were present were all malt-based with notes of caramel, brown sugar and roast nuts. The body was medium-full with soft carbonation and a oily texture. The flavor starts out lightly sweet and stays that way throughout the moderately long finish. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Sep 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy dark yellow. Aroma is of corn, vegetable, malt. Flavor is moderately sweet, with some corn and vegetable flavors in it and a hint of alcohol. Body is medium, carbonation light, slightly sticky. Not really very good, but kind of fun. It’s yucky in a good way and the name is awesome.
