Cidery taste that is very smooth. I am not a fan of malt liquoor, but this was nice to try and a hell of a lot better than the rotgut I used to drink when I was young. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Pours pale golden with a tall lasting head and good residual lacing. Aroma: NIL. Very full nectar (high viscosity), I almost choke to swallow. Residual effers: few and far between. A viscous malt backbone applies smothering pressure to my carotid artery. I need a plunger to get this down. At least it has an enjoyable flavor compared to others in the style. Molasses, apple and peach pulp nectar, cola gummy bear. The finish is mildly sweet. Not bad for the style. holdenn (1456), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 11, 2008 22 oz bottle thanks to Devon for starting this day off right for me. This one is for my homies and for my malt liquor rating. My last style rating until some new styles are invented. Pours a clear orange with a small head. Nose isn’t bad when you put it in context. Just grain alcohol and malt. It wasn’t the offensive malt liquor aroma I was expecting. Similar flavors. Lightly sweet malts with that grainy alcohol. Decent for the style, but a small glass is enough for me. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2006 Clear golden body with no head. The aroma is boring, bland, but slightly sweet, very little vegetal character, but some mild corn. The body is pretty light despite the alcohol and lack of carabonation. The flavor isn’t bad and it’s definitely the best tasting malt liquor I’ve had to date. Certainly not the most enjoyable beer, but a tasty, drinkable ML and in a 22 oz bottle to boot! nqualls (1435), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2006 Clear gold, insignificant white head. Rich malt aroma, a bit sweet with some grains, subtle crisp hops, and a light herbal/floral thing going on. Same flavors with some nice, warming alcohol. A touch of anise in the finish. Medium, balanced body. Great malt liquor. Don’t know the formula to figure the abv, but I’d put it around 8 to 8.5%. Nice brew to have with a burger, dog, or some ribs. Spicy pizza, also. j12601 (1413), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Growler from Half-Time. Pours a very hazy golden amber without much of a head, so it already at least has a bit more going for it than the malt liquors I vaguely recall from my halcyon college days. Very sweet aromas, malt and corn mostly with a little bit of cardboard and alcohol. Remarkably sweet, reminding me of a fruit lambic, but without any of the lovely funk or tart acid that one would expect. Still not an unpleasant flavor. But way too sweet. Finishes with a little lemony acid, and still on the sweet side. A whole lot better than I had thought it would be. SuzyGreenberg (1403), Seattle, Washington, USA
