UPDATED: NOV 2, 2011 On tap at the mad Mexican in Robinson. As a father, I have plenty of respect for the name of this brew. There has undoubtedly much thought put into this brew and it is one of the most refined beers I’ve the chance of tastin’. Malt liquor is a vile kenard for this brew. Surprising aroma of apples and berries. Looks like the every day pale yellow american lager beer. Initial flavor is rather astonishing! Wine like, but not syrupy sweet, more like a quality aged wine. Very little detectable bitterness. No carbonation. Fruity yet not exceptionally sweet. At first this brew has an alky impact but that morphs into A more mild watered added wine finish. Hey, I think my taste buds are going numb! An interesting brew that makes me wonder if this is really a beer or not. As a lowly lager lover, this is just not quite the malt liquor style, I’m sorry. If you like wine, give this a try. I am very glad to have had the chance to taste this beer. The waitress was very friendly. She commented that many lager drinkers don’t care for this brew. I am ashamed to name the other malt liquors I’ve tried but let me tell you, this brew is in a class of it’s own and it is in no way associated or similar to those unmentionable unrefined brews. Over all the most enjoyable malt liquor I’ve ever tasted, but that is not saying much. No other malt liquor, that I have rated, has got over a 1.8.

650 ml bottle at the Beerhive. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet grainy and honey nose, some alcohol. The flavor is a nice Malt Liquor but it still retains some dirty aggressive flavors that the style seems dominated by, sweet grains, alcohol warmth. Not bad.

Sweet corn, malt, booze. I haven’t had a "real" malt liquor in a long time, so I can’t recall their taste for comparison.

Rating number 600. 100% Style Ratings, tried after Einbecker Alkoholfrei, my second to last style rating. Sweet corn, haylike hoppy characteristics. Pretty damn easy to drink. Tasty. Too expensive for the purpose it’s best suited for, but I really liked this beer. I am really excited to have tried beers in every style on this site, and look forward to trying more and more beers in every style. My long-term goal is to try more of the regional styles in their place of origin, particularly Faro and the various German lagers and wheat beers.

29-APR-2011, bottle @terrasse in Barcelona appartment, from La Cerveteca. Pours golden with lasting low white head. Light malty nose with hay’ish notes and light tangerine. Taste is much the same. Mouthfeel is quite full - the only trace of the high ABV.

It was fun to try this, only bought it cause it was on sale. I like that they made classy malt liquor. Don’t buy this but if its cheap or given to you, try it or your a prude.

Bottle @ home. A touch hazy, golden yellow appearance with a white head. Sweet pale malty, a touch boozy nose. A touch fruity (apricot, grapefruit), pale malty flavor with some corn. Slight Czech Lager flavor. I really don’t like Malt Liquors but at least this is drinkable.
