Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Bouteille @ SAQ, cuivrée rouge sur le bord de brun. Gazéification médium, le col tiens bien le verre et dure longtemps. Des notes de caramel, une rondeur invitante, des saveurs intéressantes de houblon viennent envelopper le tout.

Poured a reddish orange copper. Nice hop flavor with a dry finish...left wanting more!

Darkish amber head with a little lacing and some decentish retention. Nose is chocolaty malts with hop finish—taste is much the same. Caramel and chocolate malts with hop finish, but malts are a little more prominent than hops. Very drinkable. Overall though a very balanced brew that is really, really tasty. Big time recommendation. Bought this in a half gallon jug, by the way, which only adds to its appeal.

Light amber with thin head, slightly sweet aroma of malt and hay. Thin mouthfeel, sweet malt, crisp hops, crisp, slightly bitter finish. Good for a session, but not much to it. Well balanced and pleasant overall.

Pours an orange-amber body with a lacing, off-white head. Smells of caramel, spicy hops, some floral notes. Flavor is similar. Finish is a little dry with some caramel.

650ml bottle. Clear and coppery. Nice balance of body, maltiness, sweetness and hop flavour. Smells good too. Very smooth. A little citrusy bitterness. This beer was a great followup to some nice really spicy jerk chicken (@ Kingston 11 Reggae Cafe in North Van). This is described as a Bock brewed with ale yeast. Not sure how that works but there is no questioning the fine quality of the resulting brew. Another good one from Rogue.

Chewy, Malt, Bready, Warm. Almost no bitterness- this is what I look for. Smooth as hell. Bottle at Abraxas Lounge, Miami Beach

Draught at The Local Taphouse, Sydney. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of malt and floral/citrus and a touch of caramel. Good hop bitterness and a light peppery finish. A tasty Bock.
