On tap at Faccia Luna. Dark gold with an eighth inch white head. No discernible aroma. Flavor is caramel. Mild bitter finish. Good but not great.

Amazing beer for a hefty price. Nice malty dark beer with a nutty aroma. Beer is an amazing must try

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2011 From bottle, dark amber color not much head. Smells alot like maple syrup. The malt flavor isn’t right up front but melds together with the hops to give a really unique flavor. Kinda like eating a Little Debbies oatmeal cream cookie and burping the next day after you’ve been drinking hoppy beer. The thicker mouthfeel and hop dry finish make more refreshing than a bock to me.The hop flavor becomes less pronounced as you drink though and it can leave your mouth a litty sticky if you drink a few. Everytime I drink DG I get different flavors (always good) so it definitely falls into the "Just go drink one" .

Does not taste like a helles bock, probably has to do with the fact that its an ale and not a lager. Much more hoppy, and therefore drier, than bocks normally are, if this were called a different name it would’ve got rated higher because it is good, just doesn’t taste anything like any other helles bock I’ve had.

AMBER! Not bad at all. Got some from a friend and was pleasantly surprised.

Hazy amber beer. Reasonably soft palate. Mild creamy malt well balanced with the hops that leave a trailing bitter edge. Easy going well balanced beer.

12fl oz bottle poured into a pint glass.  Sparkling amber with tall, creamy, off-white head.  Aroma is sweet malt, spices, light hops.  Flavor is earthy hops.  Finishes moderately bitter with a hint of maple syrup.  Light and refreshing but a bit sticky in the palate.  The odd flavor puts me on the fence with this one.  Interesting brew.

Pours a very nice golden color with a thin white head. The aroma is of sweet honey, caramel malts, some dark fruits, and a light cereal graininess. The sweet caramel malts are really noticeable coating the palate with a slick mouthfeel. The grains come out a little in a somewhat short and uneventful finish.
