2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This isn't bad beer but is reminiscent of many different microbrews I have come across. The hops is definitely evident, sweet, and bitter. OK

Beautiful reddish-gold color, almost nonexistent off-white head. Aroma was good, but struck me as somewhat forgettable. This strikes me as a very unpretentious beer - little aroma, almost no head, but the TASTE...oh my. What a banquet for the tongue. This Dead Guy has a little bit of kick left in him. Sweet and bitter at the same time, very smooth. Excellent brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The Dead Guy pours a copper/amber color, medium body, with an off white head and an extreme fuzziness. The flavor and aroma are quit malty, but not overshadowing the pungent hops. I pick up on a nutty, flowery, grapefruit citrus essence, but also a cask like woodiness. Overall this is a pretty good brew, not exceptionally memorable, but a good Bock/Ale, what ever it might be.

The Dead Guy Ale poured gold and red, like a sunrise on a cloudy morning. The look is slightly cloudy, although it could have been the carbonation obscuring my vision.
I sensed a sweet, malty aroma, though not at all overpowering. I have tried beer with far greater aromas but with a far lesser flavor.
Sweet and bitter, smooth and chewy, it was a dichotomy of the senses, although the hoppiness is pretty subtle. There are no gratuitous flavors.
I really like this beer a lot. I had not had any Rogue products prior to this and I hope all of this live up to Dead Guy's near perfection (IMHO). I think this beer would be great to drink at any time, whether at the bar or with food.

This had a subtle hops flavor that never managed to overpower. Best one I've had from Rogue so far.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours nicely amber/golden, somewhat cloudy. Medium beige head, decent lacing, some bubbles. Aroma is molasses, malty, too sweet to me. But flavor is surprisingly balanced, with molasses, caramel, malt ending bitter. Not enough hops for my taste though. A pretty decent ale overall -- good alcohol content too.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very surprised that they're characterizing this as a bock. This beer tends to be completely different every time I drink it. Sometimes it's a little pale and watery, others it's a nice deep amber with wonderfully rich flavor. The last batch was more like the latter.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
orange/amber color with light head, a little hazy. smells nice and malty with a hint of hops in the nose. slightly hoppier in the body, and a really balanced taste. it's my bock, not your bock. it's my first beer from rogue, and i'd recommend it.
