COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue’s proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops.
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

Picked up a bomber at Binnys, Chicago, IL. Pours a orangish amber color with a medium white head. Taste is sweet and nutty. Strong finish. Good beer.

Poured into a lager glass. Appearance is a hazy copper with a fluffy white head. Good carbonation. Lacing is splotchy. Aroma is of pilsner malts and hops distributed evenly. Taste is very even with a caramel type of taste to it. This beer isn’t necessarily sweet but thay is the closest association I can come up with. This is a fantastic beer and its made even better by the fact that it can be purchased almost anywhere that sells beer.

Dark amber, good head. Aroma is dank - kind of a chocolately or roasty "dank" with some dried fruit. Taste is malty - even sweet. It also has a nice dose of bitterness to it. It’s always been a good beer to me.

Pours a med brown with thin white head. Slightly spicy, slightly sweet, nutty flavor with a dry hop finish. Low to medium carbonation. Very drinkable and nice flavor.

I have had this beer many times before but have never rated it. It’s usually my standby when encountering a limited selection. So When I go to "Save on " in Mentor Ohio, I get singles of beer I had, but never rated....this is one of them. Pours a burnt orange with thin white head. Great sweet, nutty flavor with a dry hop finish. Balanced, Medium body makes you want to drink several (and I have). Not a MUST have from rogue, but it is a great go to brew.

Never had this style before. Hazy and no head. I remember the aroma with malt, yeast, hops as well. Great drink to have more than one and still want good flavour. Little hoppy, good carbonation, nice bitterness. Suits my taste well. Recommended. (On tab at The Top)
