Rogue Dead Guy Ale

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a reddish dark amber with a huge head. Nice retention and lacing. Aroma is strong bready and grainy notes with some grassiness in the finish.Grainy and somewhat nutty taste with a strong hop component in the finish. Medium bodied.

Bottled. Gold amber body with moderate white head. Aroma is apricot, honey, berries, caramel and toffee malt, and citric hops; very nice. Flavor is honey, bitter citrus, and sweet malts. Well balanced, moderately complex but not cloying. Finish is sweet and nicely bitter. Good session beer. Can’t wait to try the double.

Bottle@home Apperance: Pours a lovely golden orange with a small, white, head. Aroma: Fruit, Caramel, Hops. Doesn’t smell much at all. Flavor: Hops (plenty), Caramel, Nuts, Earth, Spices. Palate: Nicely balanced with a initial sweetness and ends with a good doze of bitterness. Plenty of carbonation. Nice! A good sessionbeer from Rogue that i’ll gladely buy again if i can find it. Very balanced. Yummy!

Very decent brew. Great coppery amber color with a decent foamy head. Fairly smooth and quite drinkable with a good hop/malt balance and hint flavors of orange and honey. Finishes sharp. Will drink again.

Deep amber, somewhat cloudy; has an excellent malty aroma with caramel tones; full-bodied, bitter taste but not too much; fabulous

Pretty good beer. Looks great in the glass, deep orange amber. Very good depth of flavor, starting with a lot of malt and citrus and then finishing on a hoppy hint of pine. Not the greatest Maibock but certainly worth a try.

Very good, well balanced beer. Very malty flavor with a nice balance of hops. feels nice on the palate, and has a pleasant after taste. Nice gold/orange color, smell is nicely balanced hops/malt.
