Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Coppery colored with little white head. Sweet, caramelly and strongly nutty aroma with still fine hops and lemon. Not the most traditional bock but I’ll take it. Medium bodied. Flavor is also fine with same nuts dominating, aftertaste turns to finely hopped with some flowers and some grains. Maybe hints of bocky spices here, still hard to compare German ones.

Good beer with lots of aromas and a great overall appearance. Not what you would exprect from a "German" style beer but still good

Pours a deep amber color with a nice rocky head. Aromas include an appetizing mix of roasted malt, caramel, and figs. Medium bodied, with a complex malt taste that gives way to a well-rounded hop bitterness. Long finish with lingering hints of molases, sweet malt, and dark fruits. This is a well balanced beer with a complex interplay of sweet malt flavors and bitter hop flavors, very versatile beer. Try it with spicy barbeque or mexican food.

Bottle. Really sweet and fruity aroma with hints of caramell. Flavor is really fruity and sweet with a nice hop touch to it. Finishes with a bitter and a bit malty tone.

12 oz. bottle (bottled as White Crane) from Bottleworks. Very nice dark ruby color, and a taste to match. Brown sugar, and nicely roasted malt and maybe just a hint of rye.

Nice amber color with a very large frothy head. Strong and bitter at first, but it got better at the end.

my first heller bock. thought it was an amber till i saw it on here. that being said, it kinda tasted like a standard amber. caramel/malty, small hop presence. nice beer.

Bottle. Dark amber pour. Sweet malt aroma with just a little fruit. The taste was malty with a touch of bitter at the finish. Good carbonation. It’s OK.
