Sonicdescent (374), Donora, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 23, 2009 =the key word for this beer is umoffensive, if unexceptional.
s=nice mix of the key ingredients.
T=very good and sneaky, malts slightly overpower hops for a fun ride.
M=smooth, surpisingly so. Not much in the way of carbonation, which is how I enjoy it.
For me, this fits the definition of my quintessential session beer. Roli (319), laval, Quebec, Canada Aug 23, 2009 Bottle. Dark orange color. Agrumes and other pale fruits are dominant in the taste. Fizzy and hoppy, the yeast is also very present. Even with all this, I’ve found that beer to be kinda bland. patrickfannon (273), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2009 Bottle. This one had been on my list for awhile and it did not disappoint. Pours dark reddish (similar to the label), with a crisp white head. The aroma is citrusy and malty, but with a hint of something darker and heavier. Flavor is outstanding with a powerful finish. Really great brew. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 21, 2009 One of my favorite stand-by beers. Great malty brew with touches of fruit and citrus, like they say. Good stuff. Bonster (81), Jersey Shore, New Jersey, USA Aug 17, 2009 Bottle. A lot going on in this one. Rich malty aroma. Flavor reminded me of yeast and fruit, citrus maybe? Enjoyable. mattmc1973 (300), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Aug 17, 2009 20 oz draft at Bar Louie. Orange/amber with frothy off-white head. Aroma is biscuity malt, sweet and a bit smokey. Taste of caramel malt, some citrus, and a bit of hops. Medium body, a bit creamy and quite carbonated. Not bad! Snoop59 (69), Penn Run, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber-orange with an average creamy off-white head that disapates to a thin layer but lasts throughout. Minimal lacing on the glass. Nice sweet, malty aroma with caramel and a hint of citrus. Flavor is moderately sweet, some caramel, a slight toastiness and a spicy, bitter hop finish. Nicely balanced. Full bodied. derkaiser (24), Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2009 I have been pleasantly surprised by every rogue I have tasted so far, and this one is no different. DGA is just an overall drinkable beer, ROGUE recommends you drink it wile eating pork/BBQ, but it goes well with just about any protein or just by its self.
