3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
March 17, 2013; 6.6% abv, 650 mL, tulip
Hop aromas dominate the malts. Resin and citrus come through strongest. Sweet dates and mango are also evident. Pours deep amber with almost white head that is fairly short. Appears to be low carbonation and leaves little lace. Though not particularly strong, resin hops cut through the sweetness. Caramel malts, dates, and light fruitiness. Medium body with smooth light carbonation. Complex and pretty easy drinking. Resin is surprisingly clean.

Hazy, deep golden, smaller off-white head with a little lace, sweetish bisquity to bready nose, some well hidden herbal hops in the background; almost solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet caramelly and bisquity finish with a tart-hoppy aftertaste and a tinge of alcohol. A chunky Bock, a bit too sweet,

Bottle. Nice honey/amber color, but head is minimal. Aroma of caramel and floral. Quite sweet but with bitterness. Something like bock but floral accents made this beer interesting.

Nose: intensely malty, biscuits. Taste: very sweet and malty, overripe fruits. Not bad, just but not my cup of tea.

Bärnstensfärgad med liten smutsgul krona. Fyllig med något återhållsam doft. Smaken är kraftfull med stor kropp. Smakinslag av russin och lite mörk choklad. Lite låg kolsyrenivå i övrigt en trevlig öl.

The taste is unlike the typical high caliber IPA and It does not strike my fancy. It's not bitter but the sweetness undermines the effect.
