COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue’s proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops.
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

Pours an amber color with a beige head and nice lacing. Aroma of cramel, dough, and faint citrus. The flavor is lightly sweet caramel with a touch of hop bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth.

Fruity homebrew aroma. Cloudy deep golden near amber colour. Taste is malty, warming high alcohol. Minimal hops, slightly earthy. Slightly furry yeasty mouthfeel. Tastes just like my last homebrew!

Shared a six pack with Wayne in Thomson. Great initial taste and very smooth. A "unique" aftertaste. Can't quite place it. Would be better on tap I think. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle at home , poured into a glass tankard, ABV 6.5% Dark orange colour on the body, slighty hazy, with a small but quite thick white head, with quite good retention, leaving light lacing around the glass. The appearance only is much better than any heller bock I had till now. Aroma has olenty of hops, caramel, sweet malts, tropical fruits. Taste is very hoppy and bitter too, with the bitterness multiplying on its way to the aftertaste. Again tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, little caramel. Medium body, average carbonation, very dry palate. Great beer, definitey the best heller bock I had.
