COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dead Guy is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue’s proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast. It is deep honey in color with a malty aroma, rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Dead Guy is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops.
In the early 1990s Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day) for Casa U Betcha in Portland, Oregon. The Dead Guy design proved popular and was incorporated into a bottled product a few years later with MaierBock as the elixir.

Poured with almost no head. Orange in color. Fruity smell and a sweet aftertaste. I didn’t like it as much as I thought it would.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bodø. Has a slightly hazy, red orange colour with a small head. Aroma of fruity hops, berries, leather, caramel and apricot. The flavour has more leather, wood and fruity hops. A little dry in the ending. Has a slick mouth feel with a balanced bitterness. A fruity and nice pale bock.

Pours a pure Amber colour with creamy thick white head. Fantastic aroma of juicy oranges. Just so powerful and clean with a biscuit and bread malt nose. Amazing. Taste is a fruit and spice explosion with sweet orange, earthy herbs, toffee, biscuit. Finishes with something that’s not quite pear but somewhere near. Wow is it a fantastic taste and aroma. Finish leaves a little sweet biscuit behind with a little pithy orange too. Very clean yeast character, no overpowering or cloying esters. Love it.

Smooth honey aroma. Enjoyed from a bottle, so I couldn't judge the appearance. Smooth going down. Good mouthiness. Finishes caramel and malty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear copper with a decent head and large bubbles streaming up the side of the glass. Aroma is a bit like a season. Taste is a beery hop. Not bad but definitely different. Medium mouth feel

Pours a light copper from the bottle. Sweet honey yeastiness is underwhelming. Thin mouthfeel, quick effervescence that flattens to nothing. Okay beer.
