4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a black color with a creamy dark khaki head that leaves lots of lacing down the glass. the aroma is overwhelming amounts of chocolate. the taste initially was sweet chocolate but as it warmed up on me it turned into a more bitter dark chocolate. the beer is smooth for the high abv. there is also some coffee notes in this and some roasted malts but mostly chocolate. this beer would be a perfect desert beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Issaquah Brewhouse. Pours a dark black color with a brown hue that had a small tan head that leaves decent lacing. Smells of chocolate, caramel and mild espresso. Tastes of mostly chocolate with a hint of Carmel and coffee. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy with great carbonation. Great beer. One of the best chocolate stouts I've had.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
black with a tan head; chocloaty aroma with hints of roasted malt; a smooth beer (deceptively smooth at 9%abv) with LOTS of chocolate flavor with notes of roasted malt, coffee and alcohol; but the dominant flavor is chocolate; an excellent desert beer

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of chocolate, hard caramel candy, freshly cut oak, and bow rosin
Appearance in fantastic thick blackness almost like Surly Darkness but with a smaller head
Taste is beautiful with complements of the aroma adding a nice bitterness, licorice, and espresso
Palate is nice and thick and creamy
One of my favorite beers uo there with Surly darkness and stone sublimely self righteous

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Les Trois 8 at the 1FRBG, a dark beer with good head. Nose is intense on dark chocolate, impressive. Aroma is on the same dark chocolate, smooth, creamy, powerful, intense, lovely, dark malt, "van houten" chocolate dominant, exceptional.

Simply put an amazing dessert of a beer. Everything is in the title. Wonderful chocolates, bitter and sweet. Roasted and held up by a warming alcohol strength.

On tap at Nya Tröls. Absolutely packed with a rich chocolate aroma that’s refined in it’s pronunciation. This is what makes a good beer great.

Bomber - Well, it’s easy to understand why this brew rates so high. Pours black with a dark tan head. Has an unbelievable chocolate taste. What can I say about this beer that hasn’t already been said? It’s really good!

At 9% ABV, I was a little nervous that the alcohol content would overpower the chocolate, but this was not the case at all. In fact, all I tasted was chocolate. It poured thick out of the bottle, was extremely dark in colour, and was sweet enough to be considered an ’after dinner’ stout.
