4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Probably the best chocolate beer I’ve had and one of the top imperial stouts as well. Great aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Very dark and viscus. Nice small tan head. Full mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation and a little oily. Flavors are so well balanced without letting the chocolate make it seem like you’re drinking a candy bar. Coffee and roasted flavors just as present. Great stuff.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Very dark, pretty good tan head but it disappears without much lacing. Mostly chocolate nose. Flavor is chocolatey as well but has a healthy dose of roast bitterness, ash. Noticeably thin body, a rare deviation from average in my rating. The sort of stout that would seem "big" to a novice but won’t please anyone initiated with dark lord, darkness, etc.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle from Hampton Falls Village Market. Dark brown color in snifter. Brown, soapy head that had good retention. Nose is rich mocha and sweet chocolate. I know that may come as a shock but yes… lots of mocha. Taste is bitter chocolate, coffee, cocoa, chocolate cake batter and a strong note of warm Tootise Roll. Body is medium-full with a lingering sweet finish and a soft carbonation. No alcohol taste anywhere. This is a really beautiful dessert brew. If you like sweet imperial stouts, this should please.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malts and cocoa nibs. Flavor was soft and creamy with milk chocolate, caramel, coffee, bittersweet chocolate and had a touch of vanilla. Medium to full bodied with a velvety texture and had lively carbonation. a delicious sweet chocolate stout

4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: Nutty. Sweet. Hints of chocoalte and roastiness.
A: Looks amazing. Nice dark brown head. Very dark black.
T: Amazing taste. Nice chocolate. Dry and basic which is good.
P: Nice on the palate. A little hint of acidity.
Overall this is a great beer and much better than the mocha porter. Ooooh it probably tastes so good because it has the artificial flavor. Nah that’s cool. A solid beer.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle - 2012 vintage. Pours pitch black with a quickly dissipating head. A nose of truly Belgian bittersweet Callebaut 89%+ chocolate chips (and there is no chocolate but Belgian chocolate - sorry for all fake ass chocolate brands like Lint and other superfancy American and Swiss brands). Huge body with bittersweetness from the beginning, some bitterness as from the mid and a slight spicy touch in the end. Taste is indeed very very bitter chocolate (not even sweetness in it). Love it as a taster, not the whole bottle...

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
July 2010. 22 oz. bottle. Chocolate stout on steroids. More of everything. Black with a beige head. Chocolate and roasted malt aromas with a nice alcohol burn on the finish.
