Very strong chocolate taste and enhanced bitterness from the hops nicely hides the alcohol burn. Great aroma of chocolate as well. Very easy to drink

Draft pint at Market Cross Pub, Carlisle, PA. Definitely not my kind of beer. Drinking it for the nice pint glass and working on my World Beer Tour Passport. Dark brown with no head. Slight chocolate aroma. Slight chocolate taste. Slight chocolate aftertaste. Not offensive, even if this is not your thing, but not refreshing either. If you like chocolate (a lot) and like beer ( a little), you can do one! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is my favorite Imperial Stout so far. Balanced aroma, with notes of chocolate, coffee, roasy. Herbaceus hops. Full, smooth body. It is a must!

650ml bottle at Appelation Wines 29 jan, thanks Ash. Pours an opaque and glossy with a cappuccino head. The nose has milk chocolate and some sweet fruit. The taste has more milk chocolate though there’s a bit of dryness behind. The palate is big and creamy. Overall, a nice beer, though very chocolatery. This is a bottle you need to share with a lot of people.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2012 Pours deep black into a snifter. Mocha head recedes to skim rim. Milk chocolate and espresso aromas. Sweet milk chocolate upfront turning to resin in the lasting finish. Very nice for dessert.

Draught pours deep brown with a thick tan head. Aromas are chocolate and burnt marshmallow. Taste is cocoa, chocolate syrup, and some bitterness. Body is full and mouthfeel is creamy. Overall a tasty treat. Not an everyday beer but one of the best from Rogue.
