Bottle from Utobeer. Oily very dark opaque brown/black with tan/brown head which is thick and creamy foam. Nose is very very milk and dark chocolatey, quite a lot of lactic milkiness, cocoa powder, roasted malt. Taste is chocolate, thick syrupy dark chocolate, cocoa powder. On the finish there’s something salty and like Marmite yeast extract.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2013 On tap @ Beer Temple. Black color. Very dense light brown head, good lacing. Aroma’s: cocoa powder, brownies, sweet chocolate, some roast, lightly bitter retronasal. Flavor is (fortunately) less sweet than expected, only moderately, roasted, medium bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes with lots of roast and rather bitter.

Black with a large, rich brown head that reduces but lasts, some drippy lace. Aroma is big time chocolate (milk, dark, bittersweet). Flavor has the same qualities which are blended and balanced out by piney hop, but the chocolate wins out. Medium to full body. Rich and creamy with a mild bitter finish that is pleasant and smooth. An excellent dessert.

Draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Had it so many times in the US, can’t believe I never rated it.

15 cl. draft@ Delirium Hoppy Loft: Pours a black / darkish brown with an ok mocha head. Nose is huge sweet chocolate, not real chocolate but more Nutella style which is still wonderful in my book, cacao butter, sweet sticky nuts,… Taste is sweet Nutella chocolate, chocolate milk, hazelnuts, sweet, toffee, chocolate donut glazing, chocolate syrupy,… Fuller Nutella, creamy body. Man this reminds me of Southern Tier Choklat – I would say that this was clearly done with additives but I don’t care since it is so damn yummy.

Bottle from Apple Valley 3, pouts a brown color with absolutely no head. Big nice dark chocolate and cream scents, taste is similar with a decent chocolate roast finish, wasn’t expecting it to be so flat. Possibly a bad bottle?---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
