Sample from bottle. Black pour, light tan head. Who would have guessed it, but this is a very chocolate forward beer, sort of a mix of bitter dark chocolate and sweet milk chocolate, with notes of roasted malt and dry cocoa powder. Would be a good dessert beer.

Found some old phone ratings. Pitch black pour with a small tan head. Nose is strong dark chocolate, vanilla bean, dark roasted malts. Taste is smooth and creamy bittersweet chocolate, deep roasted malts and earthiness. Ends with a good bitter note. Full bodied with a hint of alcohol.

Chocolate aroma. Bitter on the tongue. Flat head but good at first. This is not sweet chocolate. But def chocolate. Def has a bitter flavor. But still enjoyable.

Smell is robust with chocolate. Pours a very desk brown with a tiny tan head. The taste is velvety & creamy exploding with chocolate throughout. There’s a hint of bitterness at the finish. Absolutely delicious!!

Bomber --> nonic pint. Pours deep black with thick foamy tan head and very little lacing. Aroma is chocolate milkshake and roasted malt. Nice palate, but not as thick as I would like. Taste is full on bitter cocoa. Certainly a good beer, but I prefer the regular Rogue Choc Stout over the Double.

Pours black with a medium mocha head. Aroma is largely of chocolate and vanilla with a slight roasted malt backbone. Taste is mildly sweet with very little bitterness, somewhat dry. Full body, soft carbonation, and a smooth creamy mouth feel. An excellent stout, look forward to getting this one again.

aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and more chocolate, pours black with small tan head that leaves a ring and lace throughout. Taste is milk chocolate forward, some coffee notes, bitter chocolate. thick and creamy, bitter, slightly sticky dry finish. yummy!

75 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a quite a lot of sediment and a small mocha head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla and especially cocoa. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts and just a hint of hops.

Big chocolate aroma, malted Whoppers note. Dark pour, creamy thin head. Lots and lots of malty chocolate (whopper candy) flavor, with some bakers chocolate style hints as well. Thick mouth feel with unremarkable carbonation. Interesting beer to taste, wont drink again.

750 mL bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Nose is chocolate, vanilla notes, cocoa. Taste is super smooth and silky, chocolate, cocoa, sweet goodness. A slight bitterness on the end makes for a perfect balance. I can’t say enough good things about this beer!
