650ml bottle at Appelation Wines 29 jan, thanks Ash. Pours an opaque and glossy with a cappuccino head. The nose has milk chocolate and some sweet fruit. The taste has more milk chocolate though there’s a bit of dryness behind. The palate is big and creamy. Overall, a nice beer, though very chocolatery. This is a bottle you need to share with a lot of people.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the mad mex robinson. Big and black pour. Not much choco in the aroma but it is there fer sure. Sweet olfactory. Yes, first taste is like choco liquour. Not over the top like so many choco beers. Cery little detectable co2. Fisnih is not too bad, fairly easy going for a 9% beer. Hides the alky well.

In bottle at 30/01/12 Appellation Wines tasting. A black beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is a little sweet with chocolate milk and caramel. Similar flavours with burnt currants, dark chocolate and nice bitterness. Alcohol lingers. Moderate carbonation, light CO2 prickle and a chewy mouth-feel.

750 ml bottle, bright red. Pours a really nice jet black color with a medium brown head. The aroma is huge chocolate and lighter roast. The flavor was very nice; oats, lots of honey, roast, loads of milky chocolate. Quite well done, a chocolate bomb with honey and light roast. Darn good.

650ml bottle. Pours an opaque and glossy with a cappuccino head. The nose has milk chocolate, rather than dark and raisins. The taste has chocolate with a burnt toast edge. The palate has big in body with a big creamy texture with a reasonably elegant finish. Overall, a nice beer, though slight reservations with the burnt toast thing.
