4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
A: Wow, this looks inviting. Pours absolutely jet black with no light peeking through whatsoever. Rocky khaki to light brown head leaving beautiful, elegant lacing on its way down.
S: Dark fruits (plum, blackberry), baker’s chocolate, caramel and toffee, a hint of coffee grinds.
T: Mimics the nose--dark fruits, mostly plum, with a healthily competing dark chocolate kick and a little punch of espresso bitterness that lingers on the finish.
M: Slightly less full-bodied than the appearance and aroma would suggest but nice and smooth.

Delicious. Rich and chocolaty taste as you’d expect, with a bitterness and coffee on the finish.

Poured from the bomber. OMG, dark chocolate aroma and flavour. This is dangerous! Finishes bitter sweet. Amazing!

On draft at The Hop. Loads of chocolate flavor in this beer - they weren’t kidding about that! A little brandy too. Nice!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22, in the annoying super-bright-red bottle. Pours buh-lack with a dense and creamy dark tan head. Lots of drippy lace. Enormous dark chocolate and cocoa nose, heavy and sweet and forward. Intense. Creamy thick body with sluggish carb. Dark chocolate and cocoa reverberate all over the mid palate. Intense and powerful, but short of being problematically cloying, as long as you’re in the mood for something this big and intense. Not as goopy or sticky or syrupy sweet as Choklat, for sure.

From the bottle poured a very dark brew with a very dark head.Aromas of malt, lots of chocolate, roasty malt, and hops. Flavors are double of the aromas. I loved this brew.

3.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours dark like motor oil, with a thick beige head. The aroma was that of a YooHoo. Chocolate notes definitely came through, although there was slight bitterness to it as well. A really great chocolate stout.

Pours a silky brownish-black forming a creamy chocolate-colored head. First sip, I would describe as a "chocolate kiss" and I've had a lot of those. Aroma doesn't scream cocoa as you might expect. Long-lasting bitter-sweet finish. Around sip #6, a slight buzz kicks in...so at 8.7% abv its safe to say there's a decent amount of alcohol in here. Lacing is very milky...little breakage on each sip. Much more flavor arrived once my glass cooled off. Added a little Godiva Milk Chocolate just to see if I could bring out more flavor and I should've grabbed the Dark Chocolate Godiva. Yet, I still think I've found love.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Distillery & Public House in Portland, OR. Pours a black body with a finger-width, creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is rich, dark and milky chocolates with lots of cocoa nibs and some light roasts and vanilla. Flavor is similar. Plenty of rich, sweet, milky and dark chocolates up front with a light vanilla, light roasts, and a light earthy bitterness. Cocoa nibs come out aplenty towards the end as this finishes sweet, but fairly dry with some earth, light roasts, and plenty of chocolate. Lengthy aftertaste following a full body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid, sweeter Imperial Stout with a nice earthy bitterness and light roast backing. Plenty of cocoa nibs and a good amount of vanilla. Nice beer.
