650ml bottle. Pours an opaque and glossy with a cappuccino head. The nose has milk chocolate, rather than dark and raisins. The taste has chocolate with a burnt toast edge. The palate has big in body with a big creamy texture with a reasonably elegant finish. Overall, a nice beer, though slight reservations with the burnt toast thing.

Bottle @ Too many Geuze’s - only one toilet , Ulfborg 2012. Pours black with a small creamy beige head. Chocolate mainly. Cocoa. Smooth and full bodied. One dimensional. Really too much!

Poured from a bottle into a snifter. The beer pours a dark black with a thin gray-ish head that doesn’t last long. Aromatics are sweet vanilla, coffee, milk chocolate, and caramel. Taste is sweet and chocolate-y. There’s also a subtle bitterness to it that just rounds out the flavor to make it reminiscent of a well made cup of coffee blended with hot chocolate. If this beer were a touch less sweet, I could drink it all day long.

Tap at The Pony Bar, NYC. Pours black with a surprisingly weak, tan head. Aroma is big, rich dark chocolate with roasted malts and mocha at the edges. Medium to big sweet flavor with heavy, dark and bitter chocolate. There of hints of charred toast, earth and burnt moss. Full bodied with average, smooth carbonation. Light warming finish, more strong bitter cocoa, medium roastiness, light grass and earth bitterness. Lasting bitter roast chocolate. LONG lasting. This beer certainly delivers on its claims. Very good.

Black with a small tan head. Strong chocolate aroma, almost to the point of being perfumed. Caramel and breadcrust notes are kept in the background. Sweet, dark chocolate flavour with a touch of fruity esters and a slightly bitter finish
