4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is by far the best chocolate stout I have ever tasted. Draft, poured into an American pint glass.
Appearance: Opaque black with one finger of thick chocolate milk colored head.
Aroma: A roasty cocoa and coffee scent.
Taste: A strong semi-sweet chocolate flavor, with roasted coffee undertones. The after taste is exactly like that of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Palate: Thick and milky, leaves the mouth coated with a pleasant semi-sweet chocolate flavor.
This is the tastiest beer I have had in a long time. I will definitely be buying some whenever I see it again.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours deep black with finger tan head. Big candy floss sweet liquorice aroma. The sweetness is overpowering in the aroma. Itís like candy pieces in a rocky Road. Slight burnt toast notes, caramel stickiness. Taste is sweet liquorice, smooth Creamy bitter chocolate 75% cocoa. Really dark. Alcohol is well managed but is there on the aftertaste and body is full. Carbonation lifts a dry bitter aftertaste which lingers in the mouth. Nice

Aroma is sweet with cocoa, chocolate, oat and hints of vanilla. Flavour is rather oaty with strong chocolate notes that do feel slightly artifical. Also some cocoa and vanilla notes. Finishes dry with dark chocolate. Alcohol is present but does not disturb. A dessert.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a dark black with thick and short brown head. Has a strong coffee and dark chocolate milk aroma. Beer has a thick texture with a strong and smooth coffee and sweet chocolate flavor. Has a slight bitter aftertaste but it tapers off quickly.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I had this beer with cookies and cream ice cream and it was wonderful, the thick stout was full of chocolate flavours, hints of coffee, a warming alcohol and slightly bitter aftertaste. All of this combined to cut through the rich creaminess of the dessert and compliment the flavours.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle poured into a pint glass. Black with thick creamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate milk. Flavor is very forward with chocolate. Smoke and alcohol are also present. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Long, smoky alcoholic finish. This is a very nice beer. Definitely what I call a dessert beer.

Bottle from Holly as a valentineís day present Feb í13, finally tasted Nov í13.
I guess I just donít know jack about beer. 100th percentile on the site, Gold Medal at WBC --- and to me this is basically a Southern Tier knockoff. Nothing else is so sweet and externally flavored. The aroma is Whoppers candy floating in chocolate milk with a slightly sour tinge that reminds one that yes, this is beer. Iíll give credit for alcohol well hidden and additional credit for making a decent beer float. But thatís about it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 1 finger dense dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, vanilla, fudge, oats, light roast, chocolate syrup, floral, and roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and chocolate notes; with good strength. Taste of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, vanilla, fudge, light roast, oats, chocolate syrup, floral, and roasted earthiness. Light amount of earthy hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, vanilla, fudge, light roast, oats, chocolate syrup, floral, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance, robustness, and complexity of dark/roasted malt and chocolate syrup flavors; with a fair amount of hop bitterness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very creamy and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice imperial chocolate stout. All around good balance, robustness, and complexity of dark/roasted malt and chocolate flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

11/1/13 bomber (given to me by Doug for dog sitting) shared with Barry.
Poured black with dark head
Lots of chocolate (duh) but not overpowering on the nose. Almost like chocolate milk. Slight coffee notes also. Taste is exactly like the nose with tons of chocolate but it's good chocolate not fake powdery choc. Probably my 2nd fav choc stout after Brooklyn's
