4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is by far the best chocolate stout I have ever tasted. Draft, poured into an American pint glass.
Appearance: Opaque black with one finger of thick chocolate milk colored head.
Aroma: A roasty cocoa and coffee scent.
Taste: A strong semi-sweet chocolate flavor, with roasted coffee undertones. The after taste is exactly like that of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Palate: Thick and milky, leaves the mouth coated with a pleasant semi-sweet chocolate flavor.
This is the tastiest beer I have had in a long time. I will definitely be buying some whenever I see it again.

750ml bottle, thanks Craig! Rich roasted malt aroma with big notes of chocolate as well as hints of coffee and vanilla. Pours extremely dark brown with a large mocha brown head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt flavors as well as chocolate and bit of vanilla to go with a rich body and nice mouthfeel. Finishes very smooth with the chocolate coming through more with slight notes of coffee. Wonderful stout!

Bottle at KØ16. Mild chocolate aroma, some Nesquick. The flavour is quite sweet with a good dose of chocolate. Cloudy dark brown colour. Small stable dark brown head. Quite bitter, but nicely so.

BOTTLE. Pours a oil black with minimal tan head that doesn’t last.. Sweet creamy velvet chocolate & a touch of burnt coffee on the nose.. The chocolate is big early, thick dark malt, going to a dark chocolate/coffee bitterness at the back while still holding a creamy choc texture through out.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

Kind of odd that I’ve never tried this one before. I guess I’ve just never come across it. Bottle purchased at Bier Station, and consumed in Kansas City hotel. My brother Colin helped me open the bottle without an opener. Dark black body brown head some lacing. Cocoa powder milk chocolate malt aroma. Taste is quite sweet and cocholately with a roasty bitterness. I definitely like it but I still think the Flying Monkey BNL is better. Nice beverage. Thanks, Colin, for working your magic with that Canadian quarter.
