Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, cacao, dark chocolate, milk chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, peppery notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120128]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of sweet and roated malt, caramel, and soy sauce, leading to a bitter hoppy and roasted finish.

75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate and caramelish note. Caramelish and vanilla. Lingering sweet and slight bitter. Ends dry and bitter into a mild roasted and slight acidic finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of scrizzz. Pours pitch black with a tiny light brown head - real tiny. Heavy sweet chocolate aroma - sweet milk chocolate actually. Medium body, a little hard roast but the chocolate really dominates. About a ton of vanilla too. Heavy malt astringency. 180311

Draught@SBWF2010. Quite much black colour with a rather big brown creamy head. Aroma is chocolate, a lot of it, as well as some slight liquorice and mild vanillaish notes. Flavour is alcohol, chocolate, some roasted malts along with some slight wooden notes. Quite brutal, yet pleasant.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich chocolate, cocoa, roast malt, coffee, caramel and hops.
