4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow, a chocolate beer that tastes like chocolate? Sadly, most don’t. Rogue has really outdone themselves with their double chocolate stout. It captures the chocolate liquor flavor and bittersweet chocolate aroma amazingly well.
Appearance is inviting with a chocolate color and dark tan head. Palate is very full and smooth with a thin, wet finish. Taste is mildly sweet, lots of chocolate liquor and a moderately bitter hops finish. Overall, this is one amazing beer. I would prefer a tad sweeter, as I like to drink it alone for dessert. Still, one of the best beers I’ve had considering that it delivers what others beers have promised but fallen short of before (ommegang chocolate indulgence, i’m looking at you).

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A- Brownie batter, chocolate, mocha.
A- Black color, black liquid, brown head.
T- Brownies, milk chocolate, mocha, roasty.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, chocolatey finish.
O- This was like a liquid batch of brownies. Rogue has been hit or miss for me but this one nailed it. If you like chocolate beers without too much sweetness yet all the chocolate goodness this is a must have beer. Hard to believe you can snag a bomber for less than $8 too!

From draft at Taps KL. Black body with a thin biege head. Aroma of light chocolate and hops. Flavors of very tasty chocolate, malts and herbs, light hop bitterness. Quite dry finish, with great full bodied. Very enjoyable. Would recommend and drink again.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer pours a thick black color with a medium tan head, and the aroma blends vanilla, cocoa powder, and dark chocolate. The taste is mildly bitter, slightly sweet, and slightly umami with an aftertaste reminiscent of choco powder due to the drying effect. The palate fuses a medium-full body, oily texture, and a soft carbonation.

75cl bottle shared. Pours black with a thick, uneven bubbly head. Aroma is sweet with roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, some banana. All mixed up it resembles some chocolate/fruit dessert. Taste is a ton of chocolate flavors, roastiness, some coffee. Milky sweetness before a light acidity. Bitter finish with some ground coffee note. Smooth thick mouthfeel, medium to full body, medium carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 750ml bottle. The aroma is filled marshmallow and chocolate. The flavor is rich dark chocolate, roasted malts, slightly hop fruitiness, caramel notes. This is a rich chocolate stout. Paired this with some brie and the creamy cheese brought out some fruity alcohol notes.

A wonderful chocolate smell from the start. Taste: bitter dark chocolate. It’s decent but something is off with this one.

Sweet Chocolaty Jesus. This beer made heavenly love to my taste buds and stuck around to cuddle. Let me start at the beginning. Double Chocolate Stout pours pitch black and has a dark brown head. Smelling like fresh cocoa and plate of warm brownies, everything about Rogue Double Chocolate Stout says "Ravish me." I was more than willing to oblige. The brew tastes like milk chocolate and buttery cocoa. Yet, there’s enough coffee and bittersweet dark chocolate tanginess to keep the richness from becoming overbearing. With an ABV of 9%, Rogue’s Stout is dangerously delectable. If you like booze and chocolate, this is a hell of a way to consolidate your vices.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from the bomber into a shaker. Jet black with a thin, oily brown head. Aroma is roasted malts and a huge dose of chocolate with a little bit of booze in the background. Flavor is not overly complex, but damn it’s good! Nice roasted malt notes paired with an incredible amount of chocolate without being overly sweet. Medium bodied with a lightly bitter finish with some alcohol apparent. While this is a bit one-dimensional, it is very good for what it is! Perfect dessert beer.
