3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Presentation: 750mL bottle with a red coating. Served in a pint glass.
Appearance: Two finger dark tan head that fizzles out rather quickly. Itís pretty much black in color and it leaves some good lacing.
Smell: A sweet chocolate smell dominates, with some hints of roasted malt in the background.
Taste: Tastes of dark and milk chocolate, with some smokiness from the roasted malt. Itís very sweet. Thereís some bitterness at the end but itís not really that noticeable.
Mouthfeel: Thereís very little carbonation. Itís creamy, smooth, full bodied and rather strong. After drinking about half a glass it starts getting cloying because of the sweetness.
Overall: Itís a sweet treat, best to have it in small doses. Youíll enjoy it a lot more if you pair it with any chocolate dessert, because by itself itíll just feel like too much sweetness after a while.

750ml bottle. Black withe beige brown head. Aroma is roasted malty, lot of chocolate - dark and milk, cocoa. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter. Chocolate again but there are some perfume notes in the taste - something artificial that I dont like. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Tap at tap room in Portland. In large goblet. Black with off white head that was allegedly spilled by rosskyle. Sweet chocolate nose. Taste is very chocolate and creamy. Delicious. Soft with very little bite. Warming. Finish could be more. Perfect after a meal. Good stuff.

This is like drinking a beer version of moonstruck cocoa! Pours a rich brown/black with a creamy espresso head. Rich mouthfeel and tastes of Dutch cocoa with some vanilla on the nose. Slight hop bitterness and a warm finish. A great stout!
