Pours a deep brown with a creamy tan head. Deep roasty aroma with pronounced chocolate notes. Silky mouthfeel. Flavor is malt, coffee, and of course bitter chocolate. Chocolate is strong without being cloying. An excellent stout overall.

Tap at Lazy Dog Macon. This beer was delicious! Pours dark black with tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Tastes of sweet chocolate, with hints of vanilla, coffee and malt. It’s like drinking chocolate cake. Very delicious.

"Pretty much exactly what I hoped it would be. Took the awesome bitter bakers chocolate in the chocolate stout, and amped up the flavor and body without adding any heat."

Glass on tap. Yeah it’s amazing, and lives up to the hype. Just enough chocolate, thank god they added enough alcohol to balance it, NOT a session beer, super-viscous. No lacing, small head fades off. Yeah everything is perfect. Strong balanced mouthfeel. What a beaut.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2014 Aroma is chocolate. Dark pour khaki head. Taste is chocolate and a bit off coffee. A little more carbonated than most. Lingering dark chocolate taste. Smooth and easy drinking. Good overall.

Pours a very dark brown with a light tan head leaving heavy lacing. Nice chocolate aroma with roasted malt nose. Mild chocolate flavor up front with notes of coffee and malt. Thinner mouthfeel for a stout but still a very good stout.

Into a snifter, the pour shows a nice jet black color in its initial appearance. The head had a tan one finger foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace leaving some light lacing here and there. The smell has a rich sticky sweet dark chocolate and allows a nice sweet milk chocolate coming in heavy. After the chocolates, a light roasty coffee comes in with a subtle vanilla which then is followed by a super light caramel aroma. The taste took all of these flavors and combined extremely nicely. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a sticky chocolate aftertaste and finish. Overall, this was a pretty good Double Stout I’d have again.
