yobdoog (1426), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Apr 23, 2009 Finally, waiting for this one for a while. Missed it on tap a few times prior to bottle release. Aroma is sweet with caramel malts, molasses and a touch of hops. Taste seem to have more hops but not a bad bitterness. Caramel malt sweetness and has a dryer finish. mcox90 (618), Wilton, USA Apr 19, 2009 22 oz bottle courtesy of Douglas88. Pours a hazy amber/reddish color with a generous off white head and rings of lace. Aroma is a nice mix of malty sweetness and hop bitterness. Medium bodied with some hop pucker power. Flavor is a nice combo of sweetness and bitter. All in all, the hops dominate. Short lived bitter, dry finish. Very enjoyable. Crit (2399), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Apr 17, 2009 Sparkling amber, large lasting beige head.Small bead. Vague sweet nose.
Toffee molasses start, alcoholic mid, lasting hop finish. Good lacing

Tastes of pineapple/citrus with malty finish. Very well balanced and cant tell its 9.5%. sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA Apr 13, 2009 pours dark copper/amber with no real head. aroma is sweet and malty but has some nice floral hop notes that come through. drinks smooth and sweet caramel malt up front and has a nice cut of some citrus from the hops to balance the sweetness. finishes a little bitter with some alcohol bite. plovmand (1590), Helsinge, Denmark Apr 13, 2009 Bottle shared by hallinghansen. Deep bit hazy amber body with an off white head. Sweet malty aroma with hoppy notes. Some fresh fruit and some spice as well. Flavour is sweet malty and barley wine like. A good hoppy touch matches the taste of ripe fruit very well. Medium mouthfeel. Good balanced beer. shotgunn (32), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 12, 2009 Poured a deep amber color with little tlo no head that laced the glass a little. To the nose it was sweet with floral notes. When it first it the tongue it was sweet almost toffee. The finish was a tart grapefruit that sticks around for a while. Overall this is another quality beer from Rogue and I would buy it again. tsetlock (66), Livonia, Michigan, USA Apr 7, 2009 2009 bottle. Poured a dark amber color with a nice fluffy head. This beer had very good lacing. Malty smell and also sweet fruit and a hint of spice (pepper). A sweet caramel malt taste with a nice balance of citrus hops. Loved the slightly bitter finish. Thought this was much better than the Dead Guy.
