COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
JLS Release #34: Double Dead Guy ~ initially released in kegs for JLS accounts, this new elixir will be launched in 750 ml ceramic bottles in the spring of 2008! D2 (our nickname for Double Dead Guy) is a new reincarnation of Rogue’s classic Dead Guy Ale. Mahogany in color, full bodied with an amazing mid-palette richness of toffee and caramel. The hops are evident also, with just enough to keep the maltiness in check. The finish lasts > 15 seconds!! D2 is Double the Fun! Malts: 2-row Pale, Munich, C15. Hops. Cascade for boil (because John was out pf Perle) and Crystal for aroma (because John was out of Sterling ...) IBU’s approx 50-60. 19.8 Plato Original Gravity, 4.9 Plato Terminal Gravity.

Drucken på fat. Smak och doft av humle, malt, torkad frukt, karamell, brunt socker, med toner av lönnsirap och trä. Krämig, rund och len, frisk med god beska som avrundar det hela.

Aftertaste is phenomenal. Smells like a chocolate factory. Overall quite a good beer, and a good presentation for Rogue

Bottle from the brewery, and from memory. Golden color, light malt aroma, moderate head. Love the standard version of this beer, and like that everything is ramped up a bit with this version. One their best. Enjoyable.

750ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Aroma has notes of toffee and caramel. Taste is malty, hints of toffee, caramel, a touch of nougat and nuts, bitter hoppy overtones. Surely not a bad beer, but I simply don’t like this combination of malty toffee-"ness" and hoppy bitterness, as is present in some Barley Wines too. Sorry.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2014 A bright amber color with a white head. Aroma contains some alcohol, rye, oranges, and caramel. The flavor is very sweet tons of reisn, alcohol, citrus, molasses. This is on the cloying side for sure. Try it once try it small and be done.

Pours hazy amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol and dried fruits. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long fruity and caramel finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pours slightly cloudy deep amber with low white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, toffee. Taste is sweet followed by strong alcohol and quite a bitter sting lasting through to the finish. Body is medium and creamy with soft carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell is kinda dank, wet carpet, some malt and alcohol, then a bit of tropical fruit/banana. Bitterness builds up with alpha hop flavours. Ok

Pours amber. Aroma is light with some caramel and malt. Taste starts a little sweet, almost like tea, and then turns bitter with some hops and dry malts. Biter taste lingers for a long time (longer than most).

On tap @GarricksHeadPub. Red/orange body with frothy tan head. Caramel, grainy malt, food colouring, hazelnut, honey, mixed fruit. Rich and dessert-like. Strong alcohol burn with a big, bitter finish. Not bad.
