bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 16, 2008 loved this beer. It had a stronger hops taste and the alcohal is completely undetectable. Very drinkable, goes down easy....too easy.
A must try. thehurt01 (201), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 16, 2008 The is a wicked good beer. The body is dark amber with a light brown creamy head. The smell is floral hops. The taste is citrus ant first the a sweet brown sugar and malt. good carbonation and lacing. killjoy966 (215), Washington, USA Oct 14, 2008 Imagine a Dead Guy with a higher alcohol profile and you’ve got Double Dead Guy.
I’m a fan of the original, so I’m already sold on this one. I just wish they served
these on tap instead of the original. jeckenroth (81), Charlestown, Massachusetts, USA Oct 13, 2008
Bright copper with hints of red with a foamy tan head that left a nice lacing.
The floral from the hops dominates the nose with a touch of sweetness.
Watery and refreshing with almost no carbonation.
The hops give way to a grassy tone. There is a malt taste in the back of the throat but it fades away to alcohol. The finish is slightly bitter with the hints of an aged grass fed steak.
I bought this mostly because I remember the first taste of Rogue Dead Guy on tap. This might not be one that I pick up very often, but I am glad to have sampled. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 12, 2008 Poured a light translucent copper with a one or two finger frothy white head. The nose is sweet, alcohol, grassy, malty, some caramel, lightly astringent. The flavor is grassy, hoppy, some mild corn, malty alcoholic bite, dry. The palate is waxy biting alcohol. Not bad. danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle, 2008. Pours a warm deep sparkling mahogany with minimal head. Not much to the nose, just some yeast. Strong almost Belgium like yeast flavors to start. The Belgium goes away to a more general yeast flavor. Some rich sweetness takes over from all the malts. Very smooth on the palate. Real good beer! CoachJT (35), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle pour. Nice golden amber color with very frothy white head. Very sweet malty aroma, with flavors to match. Glad I got to try it, since it’s a limited realease, but not sure I would fork over the nine dollars again for it. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Updated: Jan 17, 2009
