| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Pours an amber with an average sized off-white head. Nose is very light with brown sugar. Flavor has hints of hops up front that is soon swallowed up by the hugh malt backing of this ale. Very sweet and roast, with a good shot of warmth from the alcohol. hopscotch (5469), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is a blend of caramel malt and citrusy, earthy hops. Full-bodied and astringent with lively carbonation. Sweet toffee up front, then heavy bitterness sets in. Lengthy, bitter, bone dry finish. oh6gdx (8838), Vasa, Finland

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2008 Shit, I thought I put in a rating for this beer.
Can I just call it a muddled mess of a beer with flavors all over the place and nothing integrated?
Yeah, the beer was as good as that last sentence.
Grapefruit, caramel, alcohol heat, sweet, but not cloying, some nuttiness.
I just can’t bother to put in much more about how incredibly average this beer was. Good flavors, separately, but poorly crafted.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2008 750 ml bottle purchased at Central Market in Mill Creek. Pours a dark cloudy amber with not as much head as I would expect. Flavor: Very full-bodied, sweet malt with a nice hop kick at the finish. Unfortunately, I would love to have a bottle of their regular Dead Guy Ale right now so I could do a proper comparison. Snojerk321 (1943), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 29, 2008 750ml bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a medium copper color with a good size off white head with good lacing. Nose was just like dead guy with a bit more malt and booze to it. Flavor was again dead guy ish (heavy malt and hop bitterness) with a booze kick. Not overly impressed with this....kick ass bottle though!
